Lasted only 6 weeks, best buy wouldn`t replace and sent me to HP for warrantee. HP did replace it but only with a RECONDITIONED one with a beat up frame and base!!! . Seems like if the new one was defective a new one should replace it. NOT at all happy with this experience!!! If you get one hope it isn`t one of the faulty ones

We purchased this monitor for just that. It is connected to a surveillance system. It has a nice picture suitable for what we are using it for. I think it would work fine enough for a business where books are kept and general web browsing etc. I would not prefer it for working with photography but for regular computing it is a good deal. Picture is actually pretty good.

This is a great monitor for the price. The image quality is very high and crisp for everyday computing needs. I use it for work and it is perfect. Not sure how it would do for movie watching, but that's probably not the target market for this monitor. The only gripe I have (quality of construction) is that the monitor sags slightly on the right so that I had to put a little shim under it to level it. It was about a quarter inch off which is noticeable. Its fine other than that and for $100, you can't go wrong. Plugged right in and worked immediately. Again, great image not much to complain about. Oh, it does not have speakers but I don't need them.

Love this monitor for my desk, the perfect size. The only con I have is that the resolution changes everytime I shutdown the system. I use the recommended setting for resolution but when it's shutdown it comes back at a lower resolution that doesn't work well on this monitor. Unable to change this issue.

This HP S2031 is the right size at the right price. I had this same monitor on my principal use PC and a smaller monitor for my second PC for which the video flipped out. Had to have a replacement right away so checked out online retailers. Best Buy had this monitor on a very special price and would be delivered to my local store that day for me to pick up. Made the buy and pick up same day. So satisfied.

I bought this monitor because I was looking at another one and this one was also on the page. I compared them, (including the prices) and found that this one was a better deal. I thought it was too good to pass up, and so far it has been. I have had it for a month with no problems. My kids use it for games, my wife for her presentations and I use it for everything.

I needed a wide screen monitor for a mini media studio I am setting up. It has high enough resolution to get all the mixer controls on the screen. Being an a budget this fit the requirement perfectly. The screen is sharp with good contrast. I'll probably buy another one for a dual monitor config.
