Need for Speed: Carbon: Nintendo Wii
I rented the game and then decided to buy it. I haven't been able to beat the kingpin yet, but I have had lots of fun working my way through the game. I really like the way the wii remote becomes a driving wheel, so much that I decided to disconnect my Xbox. I think the game is a bit too difficult toward the end, but it is still fun. If you look for Need for Speed cheats for Wii, then you can get what you need to get through almost everything. I plan to try and then buy other driving games from Electronic Arts. They did a really nice job and I am pretty picky when it comes to games because I don't have a lot of leisure time in my life.

I do want to warn women that the game assumes you are a man by presenting a video scene every so often (as the game progresses) where your ex-girlfriend shows up. I have seen nothing explicitly sexual so far, but there are some implications that your character was romantically involved with her.

For EA games, I would recommend designing a three setting

Initially I was not really feeling this game at all, the graphics are nice for the Wii and the Wii specific control seems too simple at first, but after some time put in I ilke this NFS best of all. Terrific and fun car controls are all you need to put this into the realm of an adrenaline rush classic like F-Zero GX. The controls also probably make this the most accesible NFS title yet once you practice them for a small amount and upgrade your cars HANDLING ability, the interface using the Nunchuck is a little convuluted and confusing, as are the menus but then it wouldn't be an EA game without them would it. Overall worth it if you wanna go FAST on your Wii- think excite truck with more realism and SPEED

Yes it will take you a while to get used to the controls, but once you do, it is a very fun game. There are many racing modes and the story is not half bad (for a racing game); it gives you an incentive to come back and play time after time. Tuning the car is easy and fun to do. There is a lot more depth here as compared to "Excite Truck", which is fun in its own, but not deep at all. Although all of the racing takes place during night time, the graphics is one of the best on the Wii. I recommend at least a rental for all racing fans out there.

I tried to like this game - I really enjoy racing games and I thought it would be fun with the remote to control the steering. It was somewhat fun at first but the story line and the controls eventually became tiring. A lot of things seem tacked on at the last minute. Even the manual was only a couple pages long and mostly black and white. I basically spent a lot of time trying to out run or ram into police cars. To me it's not worth the money that is currently being charged for it.
