The Legend of Zelda is one of my favorite video game franchises of all time. So one should expect that I would be singing praises up and down for the latest entry to arrive on the Nintendo Wii system, right? Well... yeah, pretty much.
While every Zelda game to date has been a hit in my book, I haven't been truly blown away ever since Ocarina of Time first hit the Nintendo 64. I had high expectations for Wind Waker when it first arrived on Gamecube, and although it was an enjoyable game, it just didn't meet the high standards that were set by its previous entries. However, that all changed on November 19, 2006 when both the Nintendo Wii and the new Legend of Zelda released simultaneously. Like a kid on Christmas morning I hooked everything up the moment I got home and was launched into a role-playing haven to the likes of which I've never seen.
You start the game off slow in a small village that Link calls his home. Here you are introduced to the game, its characters, and everyone's favorite

Pros: Great scenery, Fun gameplay, Huge world, Interesting Story, Good Puzzles
Cons: No voice acting, Gamecube Graphics, Aiming slightly out of sync
This game is amazing. I came in with high hopes and was not disappointed in the least. I played through every inch of the game and took my time finding everything. As a result it took me about 50 hours to finish it. Now that's a nice long adventure. The environments are beautiful and almost surreal in some cases. Despite the fact that it uses Gamecube graphics it still looks better than many Wii games. They just focused so much on the details that it really doesn't matter that it was originally made for Gamecube. Now something that really surprised me here was the story. In the past I've been more impressed with the Zelda worlds than the story, but in thie case it's a toss up. Both were impressive. They did a great job of integrating the story into the gameplay with the twilight and the wolf form. While it may be somewhat predictable, the ending doesn't disappoint. It's well worth your time.
The gameplay is very intuitive and comfortable. You won't get tired slashing

[Note: Except for about 30 minutes of Legend on my sister's Game Boy a couple years ago, I have not played Zelda in about 20 years. I only played the first 2 on the NES.]
I just got the game 2 days ago but I'm having a lot of fun. It took some time getting used to how to play it since I got it when I got my Wii and was new to everything. I also felt a little bleh about some of the opening stuff but Once I got into the game and got the handle of how to do things I started having a blast. There are also many nostalgic moments from the original Zelda.
Without spoiling too much, getting the first sword and then the boomerang were "Oooooh I remember these" moments. Then there's certain things you do a certain way, just like you did in the original The Legend of Zelda that are fun. There are also familiar locations and some familiar faces. Well, not the faces since it's much more advanced graphics, but "I remember that monster!" moments. I'm loving the game not just for the gameplay (a mixture
