Don't waste your money on this. It says it works on any surface, but on my oak desk I have to constantly move the mouse around to get it where I want it. Also....half the time the left-click button doesn't work, I have to click the button multiple times to get it to work. I ended up reattaching my corded mouse so I would have some dependibility.

Although it's been said before this product is very simple to set up, I love the freedom to change button settings and functions. I love the zoom function, it is awesome!!!

I purchased three of these and two failed to work properly -- stalling and hesitating in movement, and intermittently failing to scroll at all. I tried them on no less than four computers, with various surfaces. Compared with against a 10 dollar super-cheapo wired laser mouse, they were pretty much worthless. It reminds me of the way the old rubber ball mouse worked when the contacts were gunked up.
Now here's the funny thing. My Logitech V220 wireless laser mouse is perfect. Half the price and so much better. Go figure.

I recently brought this mouse, and although it was a bit pricy, it's performance is great- definetly dependable. It reacts to virtually any movement and it's customization to meet your preferences is great.

I'm comparing this to the MS wireless notebook optical 3000 mouse that I have been using for a while.
After 1/2 a day use
The Logitech V450
Pros
* Uses 2 AA, should not have to change batteries for quite a while
* Battery indicator
* 2.4 ghz, used with a desktop, I can easily be at the opposite side of the room and still get a fairly good reception, but if more than 5 ft away, I did notice some lagging once in a while, could be from interference.
* Manual on/off switch
Cons
* Felt like it had a tiny bit more drag over the mouse pad
* Don't like the button design, where it's molded with a one piece plastic and split partially down the middle, took a tiny bit more finger pressure. The MS with two separate buttons is definitely easier. For me, if using all day and every day, that tiny bit of extra pressure will add up by the end of the day, week, months, I don't want to end up with Popeye fingers.
* scroll click, only offers a small amount of features or custom setup. The MS 3000 driver
