Great for ALL gmaers

As a girl with a bunch of guy friends, I've been surrounded by video game adicts, but never really into it myslef. However, this Christmas I was intruiged by the DS Lite. The white was reminiscent of Apple computers, and the entire design was just so sleek. I was hooked. I finally received the white DSL for Christmas, and I have been amazed so far. I've only played Big Brain Academy on it, but even a first time gamer can tell the graphics and sounds are superb. It's been amazingly redesigned cosmetically from the first, clunky DS, and the actual system is amazing as well. I haven't been in to the wireless play or pictochat yet, so I can't give any opinioins on that. I would, however, recommend a screen protector, becase the touch screen just seems fragile.

Great System for Kids and Grown Ups

After purchasing one for my 9 year old son's birthday I really wanted one so mu hubby got me one for Christmas! Neither my son or I have had troble with the battery dying during play.
I can send him game demos and vice versa. We both play against each other in Big Brain Academy and it's a lot of fun. I wish the DS came with a slip case in the box, like the Micro does but accessories are easy to find on sale and I am so glad we can use the gameboy advance games we already had!
One issue, my 9 year old keeps resting his thumb on the touch pad and can't figure out why his stylus won't work. But once I fuguyred out what he was doing, problem solved!
