Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Pros: So far everything
Cons: can't complain.
This TV was purchased by my beautiful spouse as father's day present. I am very satisfied with this product. The clarity is amazing and it feels as if you are a part of the action. The 3 D features are great when watching a movie on the Blu -Ray player. Watching some of the 3 D program offered by our satelite company are just average at best. With that being said it does not take away from the 3 D features. I have owned this TV since November and waited until the after the Super Bowl to write a review. The TV can be seen at all angles unlike a LCD, I have three of those and can tell when viewing from a angle. I have no issues with glares or reflections, this TV was perfect for our basement. No just me but everybody that has seen this TV has fell in love with the vivid colors and clarity. I would suggest purchasing a nice home theater system to maximize your experience.

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Pros: Picture and 3D
Cons: Doesn't include glasses.
We are very happy with this purchase. Picture is great and 3D is really cool. Can't wait for more 3D content. The TVs ability to simulate 3D is pretty cool too. Some say it doesn't work well. I disagree. It isn't as good as native, but it's pretty darn good. Tip: there are some good aftermarket glasses available for less money.

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Pros: Amazing picture
Cons: screen too reflective
Got the christmas deal on the 3d blu-ray, kit and tv. Great quality at any price, but a fantastic deal at the price I paid. After researching settings and making the changes, the picture was amazing. The TV does the 3D but I bought it for the ratings on the picture and its met all my expectations. This is my 7th plasma, I have a Toshiba, Pioneer, Maxent, and two different Samsung plasma tv's. I bought the Samsung plasma after seeing the picture on my fathers LED 7000 series. If you can set the tv to where you won't have a window behind where you sit, or you have good window blinds, this tv will be a great experence for you. No unusal sounds either.

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Pros: Nothing
Cons: EVERYTHING
SAMSUNG 3-D is a horrible product. I purchased a 3D TV, 3D Bluray and 7 pairs of 3D glasses on December 9th. Batteries in glasses work for only 40 minutes before dying. I have replaced the lithium batteries 6 times in each pair at $3 per battery!! Samsung customer service department is a joke, I have called 22 times without resolution. I sent 6 pairs of the glasses back to Samsung and they have only sent 2 pairs of USED glasses back to me. It’s Feb 4th and I have still yet to use this defective product. Avoid SAMSUNG like the PLAGUE!!!

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Pros: No sports artifacts
Cons: internet speed is too slow for good TV quality
The picture quality of this TV is truly fabulous. I was particularly amazed at how good the picture was of a football game when the shot pans back to see all the players, which I think is one of the most difficult pictures for an HD TV. Most TV's have extremely noticeable fuzz and artifacts around the players, more so as they move faster. This one had very minimal artifacts in such sports shots, almost unnoticeable. Best I've ever seen. This alone makes the TV worth the money.

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Pros: Best TV out there!
Cons: Nothing. It's Pretty much perfect.
I couldn't be happier with my 58" Samsung Plasma! The picture quality is stunning and the 3D works amazingly well with 3D intent movies. The 2D to 3D upconversion does an Ok job, but I find that my eyes are more strained than just watching a regular 3D movie. The upconversion does not give you a full 3D effect, only a slightly greater depth to the picture.

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Pros: slim as an LED, but picture quality of a top plasma, external design
Cons: slight buzz in the speakers
I have been researching which 3DTV I was going to install in my new home for about 6 months and let me tell you, after settling on this Samsung 58", I am so impressed with the picture quality of this TV, even when it's not displaying a 3D image, the images are so clear and crisp that the images seem to pop off the screen. I've had several comments about that on my TV that it looks like real life. After I mounted the TV, it's even more beautiful. I was trying to decide between this and the Panasonic V25 but decided to go with this because although the Panasonic slightly beat this in all the reviews, I couldn't get past that it was a plasma but as thin as most LEDs. The Panasonic is great and all, but after all the reports of the black levels fading over time and the unsightly design of the TV, I had to choose the Samsung. The only thing about this Samsung is that it does have a slight buzz in the speakers when the volume is off or low. I even hooked it up to a surround sound system and it does buzz from the TV still. I read reports about it before I purchased it but was told that if I hooked it to a proper surge protector that it would filter out that noise. Well I bought the $699 Panamax surge protector and it still buzzes. I'm not too bothered by it though because when you have the volume up (which is always) you can't hear it at all. (plus the TV is such an excellent performer visually that it makes up for a little buzz here and there) I would definitely recommend this TV over the Panasonic as well as any LED or LCD out there. Plasma is still king when it comes to picture quality, viewing angles and I forgot to mention that this I have 3 walls in my room that are full of windows and this baby reduces the glare big time, so all those LCD people who want to reduce glare, get this plasma because it has a better picture than a LCD/LED and it reduces the glare too.

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Pros: Picture quality terrific; 2D/3D simulation good
Cons: 3D glasses are not included and are expensive to purchase
We purchased this TV as a replacement for a ten year old projection HD set for our family room, our main viewing room. We previously bought 2 other large HD flat screens for other rooms in our home, one a plasma and the other an LCD. This one is by far the best we have. The HD picture is the sharpest and the daylight glare, usually associated wth plasmas, is reduced.

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Pros: Picture quality
Cons: Price, but you get what you pay for!
This is the best entertainment purchase I've made! It is scary, crystal clear, black levels are black, the interface is simple and straight forward and it is thin and light. What more can I say?

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Pros: The quality and the service i got
Cons: i couldn't afford the 63"
I could not belive how great the picture looks. People always say plasma has horrible glare this tv does better in my living room then my lcd did. I got the tv as a replacement from geeksquad under my 4yr service contract when my sony could not be fixed. I love my tv.

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Pros: Clear and crisp picture, technology, Internet connectable.
Cons: Samsung's power plug has a huge head, that requires a recessed outlet.
I've only had the tv for one day and I can't stop talking about how great it is! We had it mounted by the Geek Squad in less than 1.5 hours and i was ready to watch! The guys were very nice and professional, Theyconsulted w me what they planned on doing and came up w solutions for my setup situation.
Once installed, I couldnt stop watching....HD channels are amazingly clear. The 3D is awesome as well. I'm looking forward to many more movies in this format.
Just a suggestion if mounting on the wall with a standard non-tilting mount: Have a recessed outlet installed (easy to find at Lowe's) behind the tv, instead of a regular one. The power plug on this Samsung has a huge head that cant allow the TV to be flushed to the wall as much, therefore I had to use the spacers that came with my mounting kit to allow more space between the tv and wall to allow the plug to not touch the back of the tv. So my tv isnt as flushed as it could be. But it still looks great!
A wireless LAN adapter had to be purchased ($80), but I hooked it up to my Samsung Blue Ray 3D player instead of the tv, since the updates are more affluent on the player than the TV itself, plus the apps between the two are the same anyway, This was the suggestion of the geek squad guys.
Overall, im very happy with this purchase and looking forward to using it for a long time! Thanks!

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
I have been a 3D nut since the 50s with movies, comic books what ever. With that said I have been reading the 3d TV reviews since 2009 and checking the TVs out in the stores. I have seen all the problems past reviews have noted in the various brands of TVs in the stores. After a year of research I bought a Sammy PN58C8000 from Amazon and I am blown away. After 3 weeks I have not see any of the problems reported on other models and brands. I believe some of this is due to Plasma technology. The picture is the best I have ever seen. The 3D is as good as 3D Imax as far as I am concerned. Again I am an end user not a lab tech. The 2D conversion is very good much better than I expected. The quality of 2D to 3D seems to depend on the movie you are viewing and it does not seem to make a difference how old or new the movie is. 3D even gives commercials a whole new look. With so little 3D media available, the 2D-3D conversion is a gift.

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Pros: Picture is amazing and good black matte frame, not shiney unlike some
Cons: Cannot think of anything
Hopefully if your reading this your doing your homework. I have had this TV for three weeks now and i have to say it is the best picture i have ever seen. I don't have one negative to say about it. Unless your looking for something specific that this doesn't have, this is your tv.

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Pros: picture, styling, impeccable viewing angle, internet apps
Cons: very low volume buzzing
I've owned a lot of great tvs; the LG 47LH90, the Sony SXRD, along with Samsung's new LED 8000 series, and none compare this plasma. The picture on this set is razor sharp with accurate, saturated color. I also love all of the internet apps and find the interface to be user-friendly for the most part. In addition, this tv performs extremely well in a brightly lit room for a plasma--almost as well as an LCD with a matte screen. And finally, temporary image retention seems to be on par with the panasonic plasmas, which, seem to have it figured out.

Samsung PN58C8000 58-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (Black)
Networked TV Issues: Internet Apps have a long way to go. They are laggy, run in the foreground and can cause you too have to wait for timeouts (or turn off the unit). Pandora is a nice to have and the Yahoo bar apps are nicely done but some of the rest are just too slow. I can get to my laptop and pull up facebook or twitter far faster. The commitment of the media sharing developers at Sony and other TV manufacturers to UPnP as a standard protocol needs to die. It actually is impossible to work with. What is so wrong with allowing Windows or Samba shares to connect? Directv, in the recent software updates, added Media Share capability thru a locked down format by way of UPnP. When the Samsung attached to the share it doesn't let go, and crushes my HR21-700 with network requests, this causes the interface to be even slower than usual. I ended up unplugging it from the network to get my performance back. Accessories and Packaging: The remote that comes with a high end TV should just be replaced with a Universal model these days. Toss in a Harmony One or something similar rather than what they provided. Who doesn't have to use a Sat / Cable box these days that will require it? The universals are so good that it doesn't make sense to reinvent the wheel. At the very least partner and make a version specific for the TV that will support other devices. Selling a $2500 TV that doesn't include at least 1 pair of 3d glasses is a smack in the face too. TV Performance: Colors out of the box are great. The standard setup is almost perfect but tended to be a little dark for my room. After some tweaking with settings I am pretty damn happy. The menus are intuitive and snappy. Mode changes are great because you can setup different color settings between one input to the next. Took me a bit to figure out that the PS3 needs to have the TV run in Game Mode. This is a huge boost in performance. Very happy with this TV's ability to be both a casual watcher and a gaming / BlueRay watching performer. Audio Performance: I compared it with or without my SurroundBar and it is night and day. The internal TV speakers are kinda weak, but at under 2 inches thick what can you expect. Get a Surroundbar at the very least (I have the Polk 6000 IHT) or hook it up to a surround system. The settings allow you to send all sound to the external speakers which will turn off the volume controls TV. One annoyance is that you loose the EQ settings and configuration if you send the signal out. Since I do not have a receiver that can EQ the input this stinks. For most people who use the internal speaker or have higher end surround systems, they wont have this issue. Overall, love it. Worth the money? Still deciding. For those who were concerned with Buzzing, my unit buzzes about the same amount as the older HP PN42 I had before. Doesn't bother me one bit. Paired the device with my Harmony 510 and I am doing great.
