Nikon Coolpix S3000 12.0 MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Electronic Vibration Reduction (VR) Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Plum)
Pros: Everything
Cons: Have to hold it still when using the flash.
Great all around camera for the price, high quality pictures and video. The only thing I had a problem with is you have to hold the camera very still when using flash, even then though the pictures look ok just not great.

Nikon Coolpix S3000 12.0 MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Electronic Vibration Reduction (VR) Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Plum)
Pros: Easy controls, menus
Cons: indifferent optics
Bought this camera and took it to Hawaii - got back and looked at the pictures. My ancient Casio 4-megapixel camera had much better color saturation and better focus. The Nikon took pretty 'blah' pictures, and everything I zoomed in on was fuzzy and pixelated. I kept the packaging material and traded up to a different camera - saw some Coolpix 3000's on the 'open box' table, so I know I wasn't the first to be underwhelmed.

Nikon Coolpix S3000 12.0 MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Electronic Vibration Reduction (VR) Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Plum)
Pros: Love the small, slender size and good pictures.
Cons: Can't think of anything!
This is a great camera. Previously I had a Kodak which I thought was so easy that I worried about changing brands but I'm glad I did. It is easy to use and the pictures are great....I love the features.

Nikon Coolpix S3000 12.0 MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Electronic Vibration Reduction (VR) Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Plum)
Pros: slim, easy to carry
Cons: File size of pictures is way too large for general photo taking
I got this camera for my sister who is not camera savy. She loves the big viewing screen, auto focus with some zoom. It is easy for her to use and she can take the SD card to the photo shop for processing. Plus it is slim enough to carry in her purse for spontaneous shots.

this camera is the best for the price. it is small enough to fit in your pocket. the pictures can be unclear if you don't hold your hand steady while taking the shot. i would still recommend.

Nikon Coolpix S3000 12.0 MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Electronic Vibration Reduction (VR) Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Plum)
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Zoom is only 4X, great for closeups, not so much for long shots.
Go this camera cause of the sale & the name. Also the battery is rechargable. Previous camera's batteries would not last long, 2-3 hours. I love the smile feature.. The camera will take a picture once someone in the frame smiles.Pretty cool! Can't go wrong with a Nikon.

Nikon Coolpix S3000 12.0 MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Electronic Vibration Reduction (VR) Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Plum)
Pros: Good price, compact design
I purchased this camera after returning a Samsung camera that didn't take very good pictures. This camera takes good quality pics and is easy to use. I love the compact design and the cool color. The menus are easy to navigate. I took it out of the box and started taking pics. It was in the auto mode and the pics are great. One drawback is the buttons are small but most are on these kind of cameras. If you want to delete pics its kind of slow but thats no big deal.It seems to have good battery life. I would highly recommend this camera if you are looking to spend around $100.

Nikon Coolpix S3000 12.0 MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Electronic Vibration Reduction (VR) Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Plum)
Pros: Price, Brand, Internal battery
Cons: nothing
I purchased this camera for my sister as a baby shower gift. Her Sony 8MP camera had crapped out out on her and she needed a camera for baby pics. The sale price, brand name, and the fact that it 1) wasn't a Sony camera (bad family luck w/them) and 2) had it's own rechargable battery sold me on purchasing this camera. My sister couldn't be happier. She goes on and on about how much she loves this camera and what great photos it takes. For less than $150, one can't go wrong with choosing this Nikon as a budget point and shoot!
