Verbatim CD-R and DVD-R Media are both high quality media that have played back fine in every device I have ever tried them in during the last 8 years. I have burned approx 400 music CD-Rs and 250 video DVD-Rs using Nero/four different DVD burners in three computers and have played back on many, many different devices with zero problems that I can attribute to the media. If you want reliable burning and then reliable playback in non-computer devices, Verbatim is a good way to go. I have also heard good things about Fugi media, but never tried them as Verbatim has always worked fine for me. I once was told the quality of dye in the Verbatim and Fugi is higher than in most, and burned media will also last longer. My Verbatim CDs from 2002 still play fine, as do all my DVDs (just can't remember exacty how old they are). Of course I don't expose them to the elements in a car (sun and temp extremes) and I try to take good care of them. Amazon with Free Super Saver Shipping is the best

Verbatim is the only disk brand I use for DVD and CD. Where it may cost a few dollars more, it is worth it. Quality product. I have never had an issue with it reading or writing. I have tried many other brands over the years, and where there are sales that you can't pass up, I do. For CDs it is not as critical as for DVDs but now I only use Verbatim for that as well. I would recommend this product to everyone.

I boought these to create recovery disks for several computers. The packaging protected the disks perfectly, none arrived broken. I have used 30 of them so far and they have all been fine.

The product arrived completely smashed apart. Amazon packed it in a ridiculous way that almost seemed designed to result in maximum smashing. They did the same thing to a spindle of DVD-Rs that was purchased at the same time. I strongly recommend not purchasing this product from Amazon.

I've burned through about a third of a spindle of these CDs (burning them all on my Mac Pro's SuperDrive) and they've proven perfect - no bad verifications after burning. And they're so round and shiny!

I order Verbatim media because of the reliability for archiving. I have never received a package where some of the disks are bad.. unlike some other brands. Having long life archival and reliability are a must in my work place. Verbatim is a quality product that I'v come to rely on.

Since you ask... It came poorly packaged for shipping. From shipping the base of the plastic case was broken off and the case cracked but the disks appear to be ok.

Verbatim makes a very reliable blank CD-R that can handle up to 700 MB of data or 80 minutes of music. Moreover, these blank CD-Rs record data at speeds up to 52x. I have used these as data discs and discs to record video. I also get very few, if any, coasters.
The CD-R discs are compact and easy to store. While the discs are still blank, store them in the circular case on the spindle that they came in. After your burn data onto them, I would recommend storing them in slim jewel cases instead of paper sleeves. It's just better protection for your CD-Rs that have data stored on them. Don't store these discs, burnt or blank, in rooms that become very hot; this causes damage to any brand of this type of disc and you could lose data over time.
There are two caveats that many other people note about any brand of this product: when you are burning the data onto the blank disc, don't be surprised if you see that the data is burning at a rate slower than 52x. This can happen if your burner

I've only been burning CDs a little over a year. I started with the Sony brand thinking I was getting a high quality product. However, I had numerous burn failures and/or playback problems. So I checked the reviews on Sony CD-Rs. Those reviews led me to switch, and I chose Verbatim which in general seemed to be favorably rated. I bought this spindle of 100 and just used the last one. 100 of 100 of the CDs successfully burnt and played. So I ordered my second Verbatim spindle. As far as my experience with Verbatim goes, I've been VERY satisfied.

Having had a horrible ratio with Memorex CD-Rs, I have never had to throw away a Verbatim CD-R because it was could not read data ... positively pleased.

Memorex, Maxell, TDK, HP, and many other disks are behind verbatim in quality. These CD-Rs are very compatible with so many devices, they are not very sensitive to scratches, and rarely fail to burn. They can even be over burned 20-30MB without too much trouble. I have been using Verbatim for years, and these are the best in their great series of disks

No matter what brand of Cd's one uses, there are always some failures in every box. But you really can't go wrong buying 100 CD-R's at this price. I picked mine up at Office Max, and I'm very happy with them.

I have been using various CD/DVD burners, and sometimes certain combinations of blank media and burners have given me troubles. I found Verbatim blank media always reliable, no matter which burner I use. Till a few years ago, Verbatim media were harder to find in retail stores, but these days it is no longer a problem. Since they are getting cheaper than they used to be, I always end up trying a burner with Verbatim media to make sure the *burner* is not a pooper. You can never tell which is bad if you do this with Memorex media!
