Pelican Accessories Invisi Shields for Nintendo DS Lite
My 7 year old son wanted this to protect his DS screen. (All the kids at daycare seem to have a DS.) It does what it is supposed to. Although we did have a problem at first with getting it to stay on. That seems to have resolved itself and he loves it.

These are a good value, but you have to be careful putting them on. No instructions are provided. Wash your hands well and make sure they are completely dry with a paper towel (lint free). Have a smooth flat card (like a credit card) available to smooth out any bumps or air bubbles, or the touch screen will never work the same way again. After you follow the instructions, you're good to go !

I'm very satisfied with these shields. I had a number of annoying blemishes in my touch screen and they disappeared when I put this on - nice side benefit. I was concerned about losing touch screen sensitivity, but I haven't noticed much of an impact on play control at all. They went on easy and I don't have any bubbles. I just wish I got more than one for each screen just in case.

I've had great luck with Pelican accessories, and these screen protectors are no exception. There's one for each screen and with proper installation these will last you a long time.

For starters you must clean your screen with a lint-free cloth BEFORE you install these guys. If not you'll get dirt trapped beneath the shields. You also want to make sure your screens are dry if you had to clean them with a Windex or something similar.

The touch screen shield has more stickyness and is harder to install. Just start at one corner and use a flat plastic to smooth out the bubbles.

The top screen is a little thicker with a border. I've had that one move on me, but I stabalized it with some adhesive on the edges.

Avoid screen protectors made by Switch&Carry (BD&A) as those are problematic. Overall, I can't say anything but positives about Pelican. Just take your time to install these properly.

Enjoy!!!

First, you need to understand that I'm [...] by nature. I say this so you realize I was extremely careful in prepping the DS screens and applying the shields. That said, these shields ended up in the trash after about 1/2 hour of trying to make them work. The first application (and it should be said that you really only get one try at it; after that the shields start picking up dust and fingerprints on the tacky side that can't be removed) would have gone well if the shield had been trimmed properly. Unfortunately, it was a bit too large and caught on the raised edge of the DS' touchscreen, creating a long air bubble along the top edge. Before you ask, I had carefully aligned the shield and it was flush all around except for the one edge. In other words, it was not user error. :-) The only option I had was to try to trim it but that ended up being disastrous. Despite my best efforts, the shield became progressively more smudged and nothing I did, including trying to wash it , helped. In

The shield works great. Except I trapped a piece of dust under it the first time I put it down and couldn't get it off and then got more dust on it in the process so I had to throw it out :-/ The other one works awesome though. Definitely a good buy.

I have used these shields before with my DS. When I invested in a DS for my 7 year old, these were a must. Even as an adult its hard to remember not to be too rough. These screen last a long time and keep the screen from getting scratched.

It takes a little effort to get the screens on correctly, but they are conducive to some minor adjustments.

This was just a smart move to purchase this item. These shields help to protect the screen of the DS, something we did not use or know about with my son's first DS.

When I first used this product and tried placing it on the screen, I was frustrated because I got fingerprints on the sticky side. Thankfully a washing with soap and water cleared it right up. I was still able to reuse the screen protector which makes it a great value. The bottom screen doesn't seem to fit perfectly but still covers well.

I got these screen protectors when I got my DS Lite. I wanted to keep my screens looking new, and this product was great for me. First, make sure your screen is clean before you start! I peeled the backing without touching the sticky part. I lined up one edge, then started laying it down from one side. The protector just seemed to cling right to the screen, I had very little smoothing with the card to do. This went well for both screens. A year later, they are still in good shape, though I may replace the one on the touch screen. My sister got a different brand for her son and had to replace it in a month. I know other reviewers had problems, but I found them to be better than most!

Ok, 1 star for fun, since this is NOT a game. I picked this up the same day I got my ds lite, figuring that I might as well protect my investment. Since the ds was brand new, I didn't have to worry about cleaning the screens first. Anyways, this comes with a top and bottom screen protector. Each protector peels off the backing easily, and they are marked so that you don't put the wrong one on the wrong screen. So long as you don't touch the sticky part (it's clear, your fingers, however clean, are oily and will leave finger prints on the sticky part), and you line up the edges correctly, you shouldn't have any problems.

Don't attempt to apply the screen protectors if:
you are in a moving car
you are in the middle of a sand storm
you are in the middle of an earthquake
you are an idiot

otherwise, protect your ds screens from scratches and have fun playing

There is a shield for the top and bottom screen. I thought there would be multiple shields for the bottom screen (since this is the only one that is touched by a stylus). The description doesn't really explain that you are only getting the 2 shields.

The shields actually work great. They haven't fallen off and my son is pretty rough. I just don't think it was a very good value.

There is also no instructions on how to remove or if you can remove.

In order to put these shields onto the DS Lite, you must be in a dust and hair free zone. Any debris will cause a bubble to appear between the shield and the screen. I will definitely be returning this item. Not sure what else I could get, but still looking for a better product.

The product is difficult to apply without getting bubbles under the little sheets. They are difficult to remove (and leave a weird film on your screens). The pack says you get 2, but you really just get 1 for each screen.

It's important to protect your screen from the constant stylus scratching, but it sure is lame.

First of all, in this package, I received one top screen protector and ONE bottom screen protector, not two.

Second off, there are no instructions.

Third, due to the lack of instructions, I was unaware that the back of the film was going to be the stickiest thing on the planet. I was trying not to touch it as I applied the top screen protector, but after I got it on, I noticed that somehow a cat hair had got under it. So I peeled it off. Since it came with the free microfiber cleaning cloth I thought to myself "I should use this to wipe off the cat hair, so I don't get fingerprints on it."

WRONG. This completely ruined the top screen protector. After wiping to try to remove the cat hair, there were now several cat hairs on it (the thing is so static-charged that they were actually leaping off my shirt and onto it, it was unreal) but it was COVERED in fuzz from the "microfiber" cleaning cloth. The fuzz is completely stuck to it, and will not come off. I tried, but all I managed

Have not tried them on the org. ds, but since the lite is so much briter (can even use it in daylight) the fact the shield takes a bit off the briteness does not seem to matter. There are some tiny bubbls left, I could not get all of them out, but once it is turned on can not see them anymore. It is not sticky but, well there is a thing from radio shack I got a few years ago, it was black and you put it on dash to keep things from falling off. The back of it felt sticky but wasn't and left no marks, tho time to time you had to wash with soap to get dust off it to keep it 'sticky'. The back of these shields seems to be like that. It fills sticky and you have to be carful not to get dust and hair on it (we have dogs) when you are trying to put it on. But I did take it off once and there did not seem to be any resadue on the screen. It is not super super clear, but clear enough IF you have it on the bright setting. (not sure it will work as well on the lower setting /or the org.
