After reading all of the rave review I decided to take the plunge and buy this game. I am mainly into sports titles but I really enjoyed Diablo I and II, KOTOR I and II and a plethora of other Star Wars titles. I was mainly looking for something along the lines of KOTOR and Diablo gameplay wise with a good story line.

After creating my character I was off and running. The world of Morrowind is gigantic and there is a plethora of things you can do. Unfortunately, for me, this was the games biggest downfall. The depth was so great that I felt like I was never really getting anywhere. It was taking forever to explore and uncover the map and trying to keep ontop of all the info you were given from NPC's about the history of the land and whatnot was a bit overwhelming. After putting in about 10-15 hours of gameplay I decided that it was just too time consuming to keep going and I gave up.

I am what I would consider a non-gamer, or a casual gamer. I have an old GameBoy I tote around to fool around with, I play KOTOR II on and off as well as SIMS 2 depending onteh mood. I have a hard time with beginning games all enthusiastic and then just dropping them a month later - only to return to them a year later. This is one reason taht Morrowind sounded so appealing to me. There is a main quest but there are a gaziliion different side quests, and one can just wander the expansive countryside (by design or ususally b/c they are lost lol) for hours. Mods from sites like Planet Elder Scrolls add everything from entire new quests to clothing stores you can opperate yourself. There is simply so much to do - no matter what you interest that it is hard to get bored. If you are a hack and slash type oerson there are tones of opportunities to be that person and advance in a guild's ranks at the same time. If you are more of a non-combatant you can chose to be a monk or a pilgram -

Fun overall. Lots of side adventures to help the pass the time in between the main quests. Some bugs could be fixed, but nothing prevents the game from being enjoyed.
