A great fantasy RTS game.
If you played WoW you might like this because it happens before it :)
The game is really great overall and sadly i can't describe it O_O
The game can also can be quite intense at times.
The game was 20$...(Sorry for those too late to buy it...)

This game is addicting. I played it for three summers straight. Forget about the single player campaign, the multiplayer on [...]is what rocks. So many different game types and players to beat. Though the abuse you experience in the online world can take its toll and make the game not fun anymore.

this is my first truely fun rts and its still an older game but still really fun to play
iv played wow but couldnt get into it, i got into this and im not a big rts fan
this game is a definite buy if you want to get a good priced pc rts

Ok, well I bought this warcraft war chest because 24-7 World of Warcraft (minus the 8 painful hours of maintenance on Tuesdays) just isnt enough. I actually played this game years ago, before WOW came onto the scene (and from what I can tell pretty much killed the PC gaming market). It is still great fun, very smart, and if you are a WOW addict gives you some nice back story and a way to get up close and personal with the various WOW bosses. If not, it is a great blizzard RTS (real time strategy -- I think this is the category this game falls into anyway). And if you are waiting for Starcraft 2, this will entertain you during your wait (or during the 8 hours of WOW maintenance on Tuesdays!)

Video game technology may have progressed in the last 6 years, but fun is still fun. This game set the bar back then and continues to entertain today. Plus, you don't have to worry about whether or not your computer can handle it! Just set all the graphics settings to "11" and off you go. The strategy guides are useful and compact, easy to have at hand while playing. Still a great game.

Let me just summarize my review to those of you who would rather not skim through paragraphs of text: Warcraft III is one of the greatest games ever made, and I feel honored to have spent YEARS playing it! Oh, and yes, I still play it constantly to this very day. There's so many reasons to buy such an amazing game like Warcraft III. The campaign is deep, well-written, and the voice talent is just superb. Not only do you guide amazing and iconic characters through an intricately woven plot, but you quickly feel empathy for them as you continue to play. On top of that, the musical score is perfectly fitting! It's both epic and , honestly, hard to get out of your head once you've played the game a good while. The campaign mode is like a roller coaster ride. It starts off nice and easy for beginners, slowly coasting you to the peak of the event.. Before long, you're launched into the game proper. I was getting pretty worn out from playing WoW, so I decided to grab this to see how "the" world of Warcraft started. It was cool to see A LOT of familiar characters, locations, mobs, etc. It's a different game, being an RTS. Definitely not as full as others, like Command and Conquer. But, the story-telling keeps it interesting. However, I think Blizzard makes their games simple enough for anyone to pick up and play, with the enough content to keep it challenging.

To start with, I'm a player of the old school Warcraft and Warcraft II. I haven't been into RTS games in a few years, so I skipped this title and went straight to World of Warcraft.
While WoW didn't seem like the Azeroth setting I was used to, I adjusted and kept playing. Then I learned that Warcraft III was essentially the premise to WoW. So, I decided to pick up this battlechest.
I learned a lot about the "new" Warcraft universe from this game. It tells the story of Illidan (WoW: Burning Crusade) and Arthas (WoW: Wrath of the Lich King), and explains a few other races and factions.
As for fun value, it was alright. For me, it served its purpose of explaining the storyline up to WoW and its expansion packs. I like how distinct each faction is with units and buildings. That was a nice touch.
The gameplay is solid. Very few glitches, and I didn't notice any bugs or exploits. Quite polished, really, but that's normal for Blizzard standards.

Four words: Defence of the ancients. Not only is it an amazing UMS map that pits 5 players vs another 5 but no two games are similar. Everytime you get a new challenge and a totally new game. Replay value? This one has tons of it

Warcraft III in itself is a very good game with excellent graphics and exhillerating gameplay but what really makes this game is the multiplayer and how you can download games like DotA and battle tanks. I highly recommend this for all who love RTS games and mythological worlds.

The real gem in this package is "The Frozen Throne". Sure the Campaigns are really fun and well done;but, the online play is what really shines. If you have a decent internet connection, you can sign onto Blizzard's Battle Net and play against players all over the world for free. Thousands of players are ready to take you on in solo matches or with partners in 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4 games.
For nearly 3years I have played this game almost on a nightly basis. I am a leader in a top-rated clan where I can meet up with my clan-mates and game.
If you need a change from the ordinary game, you can always play one of the free custom games based on "The Frozen Throne" like Battleship Pro, footmen frenzy, footmen vs grunts, tower defense, or the fantastic custom called DOTA { Defense of the Ancients" ([...])

Well ok so right now the graphics are no longer "cutting edge" on this one but for the time they were pretty good. I love blizzard graphics and animation style but I have to say that the main selling points were never the graphics anyway. These games are hours of fun. You get 4 for less than the price of one. I love it and I think, if you are wrapped up in the whole WOW, world or if you just like a good game this is worth checking into.

Buy this game if you are interested in the warcraft storyline, or want to start playing warcraft games. This comes with Warcraft 3, Warcraft 3 frozen throne, and the strategy guides to both games. The games are great and will provide hours of singleplayer fun, and an unlimited amount of online fun. And the strategy guides will help you get around and help you get the hang of the game.

I really love this game you should buy it! It's worth it, and the game it self doesn't take that much space. I love the custom maps that you can make. The graphics are perfect for this kind of game. Runs smoothly on my computer. Great game.

With the 3 species there is a campaign for each of them. There is also an additional campain which I won't spoil. This is one of my favorite games to play because you can play by yourself or go online and play against others. No matter what you choose to do, you will have a blast playing this game.

i love this game!!! especially ladder!!! this game is just a lot of fun... however, i dink that this game should be sold cheaper since it's kinda old... so that more players will buy...

an amazing game for the weekends. battlenet is outstanding and you can host your own games. games i recomend: fortress survival (hard to find but worth it), tower line wars and footmen frenzies. great game for all computers cause it has low system requierments. outstanding game.

This is an awesome game. The campaign is simple, but it gives you something too do when your bored! I didnt like it, because I was so tempted too use the cheats :-). that is one of the reaons I like too play online custom games. you get too play all kinds of different versions of Mods. I personally love Footies and WMW (or any tower wars). you can create your own games host them also. this is a must buy!

I have played this game for 5 years and still enjoy it every time I have the chance/time to play. I play the mod DotA... but have also played the campaigns as well. It is a very fun game with lots of replayability with several different races to choose from: undead, orcs, night elves, and humans. and there are modulations of the game that you can download on the internet (for free) and play with other friends... For example people have made a football game, soccer game, RPG's, other strategy games and more.
The original game is very fun as well. The graphics aren't that bad and it isn't too huge of a game (compared to the many gigs the newer games take up). This is definitely a hot game to get. The free online play to test your skill out is ideal too!

As to live up to the name of the previously released "Crafts", WarCraft III:Reign of Chaos is absolutely spectacular! With greatly improved graphic and a newly renovated AI system, coupled with the vastly sophisticated World Edit that allows you to do almost anything you can put your mind to, WarCraft triumphantly returns to the shelves!
If you were into the previous WarCrafts, you will more than likely love this one. You see some familiar faces meet up with a cast of new ones as they desperately try to battle a most foul evil that is plaguing the lands. You'll have hours of non-stop action as you meet a multitude of races and use a ton of different items and triggers to progress. The graphics are awesome and the newly acquired freedom that comes with the renovated camera system just makes it perfect! Nothing can beat this game. Ive played many games around the time I bought this game (5 years ago) but I always find myself running back to this game. Its so fun building your hero and creating this unkillable army/hero and demolish your opponent. Don't get me wrong this game is very hard starting out you will suffer alot of losing streaks online. I suggest playing the computer(not easy) and actually beating him five times before playing guys online. Because you will be completely owned. Ok now its time to talk about the game.
