Belkin Wireless N+ 802.11n Router (Black)

Looks good, works great. I can plug my external hard drive into the usb port and always have my data available to any computer on my network and backups are a cinch. I highly recommend this product. If it had a printer port for non-wireless printers it would be perfect!

i bought this router the other day to upgrade from a 4 or 5 year old linksys wireless g that i was really happy with. i thought that by sticking with linksys and upgrading to wireless n would have been a great choice on my part. not so fast my friend! i run a desktop through ethernet, my ps3 through either wireless or ethernet, 2 wireless laptops and a printer hooked up through ethernet. the laptops are rarely on, and same with my printer. i only use my ps3 at night time when im not busy and no one else is on the internet. i cant even play a descent game of modern warfare 2 anymore cuz the signal is so inconsistant through both wireless and ethernet! ive had it for approx. 2 days now and i hate this thing. so whatever you do, do not get it. such inconsistant signal.... im very disapointed :|

I have a linksys router at home that literally took me several hours to set up. I was expecting the same based on the assumption that all routers are as complicated as the Linksys routers. Well I was quite surprised. The router was set up in under 15 minutes and all the computers in my wireless business network and the printers were all locked in and connected to the router. No problems at all and no need to contact tech support. The router works like a charm. Signal has always been strong and signal has not dropped at all. I was looking at a wireless N Belkin router at my local best buy store when the sales associate told me that i would be better off going with the Netgear router. Well he was right! Plus the price was right as well.

Linksys WRT160N Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router

Bought this and had issues from the start. Included software didnt run well on a vista pc, would recognize internet connection, then not a pc, then intermitantly both. Then try to add second pc and would disconnect both pcs, then both would connect and no internet. Was frustrating after an hour of trying to set up multiple connections. Works great with one connection, with any additional hardwired.

The set-up CD is well designed and super easy to use, with complete step-by-step instructions.

Went right onto my Windows 7 laptop, quickly configured and I was online wireless, in about 10 minutes from start to finish.

I didn't install the included "Easy Link Advisor" networking assistant software - just don't need it...

I've owned this unit for a day now and so far, the connection is fast and have yet to be dropped or experience any other problems. So far, so good!

It does not work. I was trying to cut corners and buy a Refurbished Wireless Router to save money but it is not worth it. Now I have to return this and buy another one.

I spent several hours trying to make a secure connection but it was very difficult. Then, I tried to look for help at Technical Support, but on several occasions I received very bad service and they did not help me to install it properly. I decided to return the router.

Belkin Wireless N 4-Port Router

This product was purchased to replace a Netgear brand router after it had been reset and the company wanted $70 to help me reconfigure their router. I looked online and found the reviews for this particular item and purchased it at my local store. Setup was a breeze compaired to the Netgear product, just follow the onscreen instructions and you will be connected in no time. In about 15 minutes I had my desktop, laptop, XBox 360, 2 iPhones, and a blue ray player hooked up.

So far this router has served my purposes. My connection is always on, and transmits just as quickly if i had hooked it up to my cable modem (download speeds roughly the same).

Bought to replace wired router. It did connect to wireless perfectly, but I could not get it to work on DHCP. I got conflicting IPs. I had to put it in as access point into wired router. BUT no matter what I did I could not connect the G-network laptop to it. It performed below expectations for a D-Link product.

I HAD TO WRITE THIS REVIEW IN REPSPONSE TO ALL THE REVIEWS I READ.I JUST PURCHASED THIS TO REPLACE A DLINK G BAND THAT HAS BEEN IN SERVICE FOR 2 YEARS WANTED TO UPGRADE TO THE N BAND.
I MUST SAY I BOUGHT THIS UNIT AND THEN READ THE REVIEWS AND THOUGHT THAT I HAD MADE A MISTAKE. Out of 99 reviews almost 80 percent state that the unit drops connection. This is a very good Router its transmits on the G side at 2.4ghz at 270 mbps or you can chose to Transmit on the 5.-Ghz side as well. I have 10 deivces running in the house 3 iphones using the network, two desktops 1 laptop and 1 Mac laptop. I Roku for streaming Movies on Neflix and one PS3 and Xbox360. 10 Total that were all sharing the GBand. I have turned on the 5.Ghz side and have moved the two laptops to the N side on 5.ghz and there fast. There is some limitations to turning on the 5 GHz band and using both the 2.4 and 5.0 ghz at the same time the N side is Running at 220 mbps but the G is limited to 54mbps but most pci cards and

i picked this up on recommendation from a store worker as my wireless-g router was a few years old and going out on me from time to time. new desktop is wireless-n and i wanted to upgrade. installation was long and tedious and way more difficult than my last. after that, my new desktop ran at speeds at or below dial-up while my three year old laptop flew on the internet. called their IT for help... what a waste of time. three times i called for a total of three hours. each person was more rude than the last and new less than the person before them. all they wanted to do was blame my computer and get me off the phone. i returned it thinking i got the bad egg in the group... wrong again. same thing. the IT says that since was was running a wireless-g and wireless-n that it was slowing me down. the worst part is is that that's what this product is meant to do. i even took my desktop in to make sure it wasn't me and it wasn't.

i took this terrible product back and asked a geek squad

D-Link DGL-4500 Xtreme N Selectable Dual Band Draft 802.11n Gaming Router

This is an absolutely wonderful router. From the beginning, installation is smooth and easy. The included diagrams are nice, but the install CD is amazing. It walks you through every step, explaining what you're doing and why along the way for each step, with animated graphics at times to clearly illustrate how a cable needs to go. The router itself is smooth and understated with an efficient footprint; it even has mounting slots built in and comes with wall-mount screws and anchors if you'd prefer to mount it that way. Once up and running, this thing's speed is every bit as crazy as it says. I tested it the first night with three of us in the house all gaming online simultaneously on different games, and none of us had even a hint of lag. I even like the included Network Magic software for monitoring the network once it's up and running.

So what did I not like? Well, it comes with a Cat 5e ethernet cable. Yeah, that's very picky, but if you're making and selling a high-end gaming

If I could do it all over, I wouldn't buy a refurbished unit. I don't know if there is defect with this unit yet. I am working with Lynksis currently. However, I use this router for business and have not been able to get online when I need to.

Netgear WPN824NA Wireless Mimo Router

Range is good. Getting much better signal on other floors of house than with standard G router. Tried setting this up using a computer running XP. The enclosed instructions did not work at all with XP, requiring I contact technical assistance so they could talk me through some web-based set-up assistant. Also it just stops working from time to time. We end up with no access in the house even though the status lights on the router and modem (cable) all read "green." Only thing that get's our internet running again is unplugging the power from the back of the router for about 30 seconds then plugging it back in. Had better luck with our old Netgear standard G router, which was around 4 years old and just stopped working. Will likely return this product for another brand.

I would not buy this again.... EVER. Even when you can see that you are physically connected to the router it will tell you that you are not. We spent about 8 hours total trying to get it to work on 2 computers and a wireless. Magically started working in the middle of another setup attempt. We can not explain how or why and hope to never have to do it again.

I installed the CD, but it said it couldn't find my internet connection, even though it connected. It refused to connect wirelessly. I called and had difficulty understanding the tech. I was on the phone for onver an hour, with no luck. I called again and was put on hold for 15 minutes, then hung up on. I callled back, spoke to a supervisor, who connected me to a "senior tech". I was on the phone with her for another 45 minutes, but she still couldn't figure out how to get it to connect. This is supposed to be a plug and play! I am returning it and trying a different brand.
I'd give it a rating lower than a 1 if it would let me!
