I hate how people compare this game to oblivion, it's nothing like that game. Oblivion was great, but I prefer variety. One disappointed review mentions this game being nothing like oblivion other than being an rpg(and being in the fantasy world?), and thank goodness. That's like asking for mass effect to be like fallout. I cherish both games, but praise the maker it isn't so. The game has so much depth and there's already more DLC coming. Do your research people--watch video reviews, they help you know what's in the game, zOMG.

the gameplay in campaign is so much better. certain details make the game more realistic, such as hard rainfall blind ur farsight vision.
campaigns are longer.
realism: can't see ur allies location through walls (blue lining around players), player closets are removed, etc.

I was told that W7 would be the end of the cable card compatibility issues and that it was so much more stable than Vista. What a huge disappointment and waste of money. Vista was working better and offered more utility than this new, "improved" O/S.

The "Media Center" application crashes regularly. The most frustrating experience of all was the night that the system crashed 9 separate times during the Pittsburgh Steeler - Denver Broncos Monday Night Football game. Task Manager says "Not Responding" and you have to reboot. In the meantime the teams score and it ruins the entire television experience. I've been troubleshooting the configuration with my OEM since the install on November 1 and now I'm being told to reinstall it all over again.

Don't believe the hype - wait until the bugs are worked out. I wish I had.

Microsoft Windows 7 Anytime Upgrade [Home Premium to Ultimate]

Windows XP was the most reliable, fast load time, and used memory wisely until Windows 7. This operating system is reliable and quick load times. I'm selling my copy of Windows Vista on Amazon because compared to Windows 7, it's not worth it.

Microsoft Windows 7 Anytime Upgrade [Home Premium to Professional]

I was very upset to find the new laptop which I just purchased required an Intel VT or AMD-V CPU to properly install the XP mode with this program. I already own MS Office XP Professional and did not want to purchase the Windows 7 Version of Office Professional for our business. MS has a tool on line to download to your computer to see if the software is compatible with CPU.

Go on line first to see if your computer has a compatible processor with Virtual Technology or you will be wasting your money if you think you can load your XP Office to your new computer.

Love my computer but will probably return it and buy an Apple!

This is still one of the best games ever. Its gives you lots of freedom and its lots of fun. You can fly planes and helicopters, drive cars and tanks, even boats. At first, you can only play with others who has the same version. You can update it but you have to download to updates. The first is about 500mbs and the second is 1.94 Gbs. but overall the game is great.

The game is overall very good. Besides it not being very exciting the only other thing i don't like is all the talking. I can't sit down and spend 3 minutes talking about things i don't care about.

It's not so bad if you can put up with 30 minutes of talking and 10 minutes of play every so often.

Rich Fields' voice is your host throughout the entire game....I was disappointed Drew Carey wasn't on there at all. It's a fun game and the other "characters" don't seem to cheat.

I will make it easy and simple ,, The Single Player experience is great (like COD4) BUT it will last 3 hours for most people. The online is disappointing .. you log in the steam ,, press play and then there are no rooms , no servers , not like any other PC game ,, but like the console , you press Find Game and then it will choose the map for you and you can NOT control this precess (your only choice is pressing skip and wait for more 4 or 5 votes to skip the map that was chosen for you) or play the fracking map regardless you like it or not ,, Again you can Not play the map you want , the game will choose it for you .. very very stupid console system.. I activated the game on new fresh steam account , i played the single player ,, then i soled my account for half the retail price..

I see a lot of the reviews focusing on the lack of dedicated servers for multiplayer. That is a negative change from previous versions of the series, but it isn't worth all the one star reviews. Single Player Campaign. It was short (like previous versions) but action packed and offered good variety. I enjoyed the varying scenarios. Breaching a locked door and entering the room in slow motion was just insanely fun. AI teammate chatter is very good, with them calling out useful information about enemy positions. Multiplayer. The lack of dedicated server support (without hacking) is a bummer, plain and simple. However, once you get past the sour grapes over that, the system they implemented is certainly not a show stopper. I have never had problems finding a game to join. There is always plenty of action even with the reduced player counts. And I've only had noticable lag in one game - so the system does a decent job of finding the "best host." Once you are in a game, you quickly

Wonderful game!
This game is sooo fun, I've had it for a long time now and I still play it every chance I get. You never get bored of it. The story is great. You get attached to the characters. The zombies are great.... I can't stop yelling every time I see the Tank charging at me lol.
Great overall!...

This game, much like the first, never gets old, random zombie placement every time you play. Music, zombie count, and path changes according to your progress! It's very well done! Definitely a must for all Left 4 Dead fans, and VALVE fans!

I bought this as a gift for my sister; she loves it. She says it's so much better than vista which she did not care for at all. Since I bought a new laptop for myself I was able to get this software for only 49.99 instead of 119.99, so i have very happy to save 70 dollars. Worth the money.

Using flash cards to upgrade RAM is fantastic. I can't get an older version of Rosetta Stone to install, but I expect future patches should resolve some compatibility issues. Overall, quite pleased.

I like the slide-show desktop background, and the pulling 2 windows off to the side to be able to look at both easily. The issues I have with Windows 7 are; unlike as advertised, it has difficulty when i have multiple (2+) programs running at the same time; and the computer (or the task bar, to be specific) freezes just as Vista did.
Though I have used and know Microsoft software, after purchasing the new Windows 7, I would easily switch to an Apple (if I were able to afford it).

In all fairness to Microsoft though, I haven't completely checked all the new things out with Windows 7

The Windows 7 upgrade took almost 7 hours to load and couldn't recognize my 64 bit computer as 64 bit and would allow me to only load the 32 bit version, adding more memory didn't do any good as you can't upgrade from the 32 bit version to 64 bit without removing all data and performing a clean install. For the price ($119), you should be able to install on more than one P C without having to buy a "Family Pack" for another $40. Apple charges $29 for Snow Leapard.

The upgrade should be seamless from one version to the next --- it's not.
The software should recognize the 64 bit system --- it doesn't (even though, the Windows 7 upgrade advisor recognizes 64 bit).

Microsoft should treat its long time customers to a better experience. Tech support only advises to create a partition on the hard drive or do a clean install to upgrade to the 64 bit version of Windows 7 --- totally unacceptable. In the first 3 days I had Windows 7, there were at least 6 updates.

The

I loaded Windows7 on top of Vista and the installation was flawless. There were a couple of drivers I needed to upgrade but they were identified during the compatibility test prior to installation. Windows 7 is notably faster than Vista both in start up and run time operations. Thus far I am very pleased with it.

I have a Dell Laptop that my daughter's are the primary users. It had Vista pre-loaded. Well, I am happy to say that the Windows 7 upgrade worked fine! During install it saved all settings for all users. When the installation was finished, everything worked! I had to reinstall my Canon printer drivers but Windows 7 took care of it and it worked! The experience was pretty scary since I've been using Windows products for over 15 years. Definitely worth the price of the upgrade.
