Most of these 1 star reviewers haven't played this game at all. They are simply telling you what they don't like about changes made/features removed to cut down on piracy. You want to know why Infinity Ward made the consoles front and center for this sequel to Modern Warfare? It's because of all you guys out there stealing their games from torrents. I've been playing this game on both the XBox 360 and the PC for over 8 months now. It's a great, fun, fast paced game. Most of the one star reviews for this game - over 400 thus far - are from people who are very, very pissed off at the steps the game developers and publisher took to cut down on the rampant piracy that is killing the PC gaming industry. That's right. Most of these 1 star reviewers haven't played this game at all. They are simply telling you what they don't like about changes made/features removed to cut down on piracy. You want to know why Infinity Ward made the consoles front and center for this sequel to Modern Warfare? It's because of all you guys out there stealing their games from torrents. You can also install a recovery manager on your boot disk so that you can recover just by pressing a key at boot time. Acronis True Image Home 2010 also includes file and folder backup, a disk cloning feature, and a secure file eraser. If you also have Acronis Disk Director 11 Home, this can integrate with True Image on the recovery media. I have also used Symantec Norton Ghost 15.0, but I don't like it anywhere near as much as True Image. - Ghost can't back up multiple disks in one job - Ghost won't let you define multiple jobs for one disk - Ghost is much slower to back up - Ghost's bootable recovery disc is MUCH slower to load and start - If your system is asleep or off at a scheduled backup time, Ghost will just skip the backup whereas Acronis True Image will start it the next time the system is on (this can be disabled.) Until recently, Ghost did have one advantage for one of my systems, which dual-boots Windows and Mac OS X. By itself, Acronis True Image Home won't work with a disk that has non-Windows partitions on it, while Ghost will at least deal with the Windows partitions. But you can buy as an add-on, a "Plus Pack" that recently added support for disks with non-Windows partitions, virtual disks, and one more thing - the ability to do a "bare metal" restore of an image to a system with different hardware. This used to be a feature restricted to Acronis' business software line, but the Home line can now use it for much less. I don't see that Amazon sells the Plus Pack - you can buy it from the Acronis web site. There are several other features of True Image Home 2010 that I have not used, such as "Try and Decide", which lets you easily roll back the disk state after doing a software install or similar modification, the "Nonstop Backup" which provides continuous protection, and the Boot manager, which lets you boot directly from an image backup!(This works only on certain editions of Windows 7) Acronis support is pretty good, though unless you pay extra it is mainly forum-based. Luckily the forum works well and useful help is available. I like Acronis True Image Home 2010 very much, and have found it to be extremely reliable. I trust my systems to it and consider it a bargain.

side of the game).... there were random crashes especially when I was attempting to assign abilities to short cut keys. Sometimes my character would get stuck above the environments or within walls while exploring, this however should not discourage anyone who is considering this game. I will highly recommend it for anyone who likes First Person Shooters but is weary of the whole RPG thing; this is a very tame RPG and would appeal to anyone who is new to RPGs.

For example if during a mission on a village accidentally you kill civilians, the community there will not provide you the necessary intel for the following missions Walking in the desert or on the streets you can almost feel the heat of the environment. This is the kind of reality which the average FPS's doesn't provide it. b) Replayability: Operation Arrowhead have a total replayability and this is because the lack of tight linear scripts, let the gamer to use different strategies during the missions on the campaign. Also the powerful Mission Editor let you create any mission with just a couple of mouse clicks . c) Graphics: The myth of a ubercomputer required to play it is is not so true, because the game let you configure the graphics according to your hardware capacity. However if you are lucky enough to have a powerful computer, you will appreciate the high end graphics configuration capable to create an almost photo-realistic environment, highly detailed objects and terrains without "invisible walls" or narrow corridors. d) Multiple games in just one Box: Arma games series, including Operation Arrowhead is the Swiss Army knife of the games, because include tank simulator,flight simulator ( and yes, you can use a joystick), FPS, strategy game, RPG, free roaming and sandbox with very huge maps. By this way for example you can ride in a helicopter, flight to a village in the middle of the desert get out, talk with the people there, enter to a house and then take a car to ride back, like you do in games like Grand Theft Auto series,or you can control entires armies in real time like you do in C&C. The combinations are almost infinite. e) DLC for everyone and full support from the developers: Thanks to the big community related with Arma games and the open code which Bohemia Interactive provided to the gamers, we have the possibility to expand even more the capacity of the game by adding new campaigns, missions, libraries (vehicles, soldiers, weapons), maps and sounds. This downloadable contents are ALL FREE and the skilled members are continuously adding more and more features. Also if you have the basic programming knowledge, you can create you own mods, missions and then post or use it on the game. f) Multi-players with dedicated servers: The game can be played in single or multi player. The last option let you enjoy on different communities focused in tactical games, where the strategy, the planning and the coordination is the key to achieve successfully missions as like cooperative of full multi-player. On cooperative, the online players have to beat risky missions working like a professional team against non scripted NPC's and on full multi-players, the gamers have to challenge another humans using military tactics. So if you are going to go running and bouncing like an headless chicken, you probably will be killed after just 5 minutes of game, also you don't have health pack or endless rounds of ammo. The bullets are affected by the physics laws and the enemies thankfully doesn't have Superman sight (Did you hear "Sniper Ghost Warrior"?). I recognize Operation Arrowhead and Arma series is not for everyone, is for serious gamers who likes military stuff and are tired of unlimited spawning enemies, narrow maps, zero re-playability and a very linear script witch don't let the gamer the needed freedom, also bombastic cinematographic effects but nonsense reality. This is the kind of game which you will discover more and more features and become one of your favorites for several years to come. Personally I give it the score of five stars.

the refresh rate from within the game. I had to use an external program to lock the refresh rate of my monitor while playing as it kept defaulting to a lower refresh rate. I wish Raven would have put just a little more effort into putting an option in the game to control this. While the single-player mode is excellent, the multi-player mode does feel a little like an afterthought. It's still fun to play but there are only two game modes. It also lacks dedicated servers so you're forced to wait quite a while at times before being able to begin a match. It's too bad because dedicated servers could really help this game live on for years and years. I could even see some modders making some fantastic new game modes. I wanted more boss fights! You only get to fight two actual boss enemies with a few other mini-bosses. There's a certain point in the game when you see how E99 has affected some plant life, with one of the mutations looking like a Venus flytrap. The specimen is small but I have to admit I kind of wanted to fight a giant "boss" version of the plant. I also wish there was some kind of "super-crazy-hard" mode that tripled the amount of enemies and made you fight two bosses at the same time. My first play-through was on Normal difficulty, and while challenging enough for the first run, I found the Hard difficulty to actually be a little too easy for my second play-through. The only difference between normal and hard is that the enemies hit a little harder and take slightly more ammo to kill. But other than that, this game is great! Raven made a rock-solid shooter that's a whole lot of fun to play and I definitely recommend it. My only hope is that Raven makes a sequel. Even after winning the game there are still unanswered questions, and I'd love to have more adventures with the Time Manipulation Device! DRM (Digital Rights Management) INFO: This game uses SecuROM but only for a disc check. There are no online activation requirements.
