We can play for hours doing different things different ways. My kids are 7,7,8,16,16,20 and we never get bored of playing this game. There are plenty of options for playing teams, opposition, or single player. The configurations and characters are almost endless. The review title says it all. I wish they could just figure out how to make it a motion sensitive game; When you jump it jumps; when you swing, it swings.

This game is not as little-kid friendly as I was hoping for. While the cars are great and appealing for my 5-year-old son and 3 1/2-year-old twin sons, they had a hard time controlling the cars around the courses and accomplishing the goals. All three of them were frustrated trying to play it. It definitely wasn't those "pick up and play" games. Mario Kart is a far better choice for both little-kids and us adults, and for those looking for an easier "pick up and play" game.

This game shows it's commitment w/overall intuitive controls considering the restraint & the best idea: as little players as possible & when there's only 2, you control them both, different levels of play (have to be unlocked through play) There is a skill point system overall tally for each of the 6 sports to earn you to higher difficulties & stickers like awards like birdie blitz & soaring eagle for disc golf, palms of steel for volleyball, long ranger for soccer, enforcer for bocce (hitting the jack). You can decide left/right handed, good amount of customization of your characters. Each time win, they do an old school 90s dance, one even looks like from Rerun from the show What's Happening since none of the players speak. The only sounds are boring background looped music beat & cheering crowd which helps a lot. There are also sounds from the remote, say every time you hit the volleyball. You can control how many points/goals to win a game, the length of time of a game for all the

Don't waste your money if you are looking for a game that is as much fun as the golf game that came with Wii, or if you like Tiger Wood 08.
As the previous reviewer states, this game does not take advantage of the fluid motion of the Wii controller. When I contacted tech support about my dissatisfaction, they told me that this game is an 'arcade' game and does not operate like the original Wii golf. Why did they bother.
Might be good for 5 and 6 year olds, but not for anyone looking for a game with the feel of golfing.

I just received my "release date delivery" of this game from amazon.com, right on time -- so thanks amazon!
From the moment I put this game in the Wii, it has been fun. The menu is sharp, the load times are great, and it is packed full of features.
Immediately you can tell that there is a graphical bump from last years Wii outing - which is nice.
The controls are a lot more responsive then last years as well -- so the things that were most challenging (catching, swating passes, etc) are way more responsive and on the mark. I have not even tried All-Play controls - I play with advanced. It is fun - and just like playing on any other system as far as challenge goes. All of the All-Play stuff is optional - so don't let that sway you away from getting this great game.
The online has also improved 100%. The interface is easy to set up a new EA account, or transfer an older one. The friends list feature is great - no friend codes needed - just add the ea username, and wait for your

I am a big fan of the Madden franchise, and i own a Wii but not an xbox or ps3, so my main option was to buy this. I have Madden 08 on the wii, and that game is mediocre in my opinion. Many reviews for it will say so.
But wait, this is an 09 review? Well what's the difference?
Basically, madden 09 all play is just like 08 on wii. Messy controls, glitches, bad graphics (even for wii games), lack of many other modes and watered down gameplay. I love the superstar mode, i have since it came out in the 07 edition. In 08 and 09, you can't even edit your superstar's appearance. You can't change hair color and style, add apparel, tattoos, different helmets, and even your OWN NUMBER. What's the point of superstar mode if you can't make your player your own?? Oh, and you once again don't have access to create-a-player mode.
Franchise mode? It's the same as 08, you can't move your team, edit the stadium, create your own stadium, create your own team or do anything interesting until the offseason

In the early years of computer golf the standard "3-Click" style of golf was created to address the limitations of the technology of the time. However, with so many advances in video game technology including the motion sensor Wii-motes that are an integral part of the Wii system, the developer of this game decided to cling to the old school 3-click world. Basically, the swing mechanics of this game work as follows:
1. Press the A button to start your shot (the normal click 1)
2. You pull back and hold the remote to set the power of the shot as indicated on the screen and not based on how far you physically pull the remote back (normally click 2)
3. When the swing meter reaches the optimum impact zone you swing forward trying to time it with the onscreen clubhead (normally click 3)
In my opinion, the much better mechanic would have been to throw the meter away and rely purely on how far you pull the club back for distance and how fast you swing for power. (like real golf)

I purchased this item and had it shipped to my nephew, across the country, who was turning 11. When he received it he could not stop playing it. Right now I am the best Aunt ever! I would recommend this game. This game is similar to Lego star wars, but is Indiana Jones.

Great game. I'm always a pc gamer at heart, but being able to play a Sims game on a console is amazing. The only big differences are that the game style is more like an rpg then the original, and you are slightly limited in what actions you can take.
Overall one of my favorite Sims games.

As I've mentioned in other reviews, the Wii is not my console of choice. I bought it for my wife to keep her busy while I logged hours in front of the Xbox 360.
I bought Order Up for my wife as a birthday gift. I feel bad that three days later, she's logged about 45 minutes at the controls, and I've beaten the game at 5 hours, 59 minutes in.
The game is simply that addictive. From the first burger you make until the last visit from the food critic at "Chez Haute" restaurant, you will not want to put this game down.
Your first reaction might be to think that at 6 hours, this game is very short. This isn't untrue, but this is a game that better rewards the casual player. In my course through the game, I served less than 10 "non-perfect" dishes. I refused to serve "good" food, and instead would throw food away multiple times until earning a "perfect" score. Also, by mastering the art of spicing (which is clearly defined within the game) I was able to generate upwards of $200 per

I have to give this years version 4 stars only due to the fact that 99% of the game remains unchanged. While I can appreciate the developers taking the "if it ain't broke don't fix it approach", I still would've liked to see some additions/corrections. The game has all the elements that made last years a nearly perfect game, but, the same problems remain. The minor league system is still not done well, there are very few errors (especially throwing), and the computer throws strikes strikes and more strikes (good luck drawing a walk), and worst of all no online play to speak of.
Overall, the season mode is still great. The computer presents a strong challenge and the statistics are realistic. I would like to see a more expanded minor league system which might include AA and AAA rather than just a few guys that you can bring up whenever you feel like it. The MLB Life mode is fun for awhile but it quickly gets old when you have to conduct each at bat for your player over the course of

I picked this game up as an impulse (bad idea). not only did I pay more in store than it would've been on Amazon.. but it was without reading reviews.
I finally opened it up after a few days and decided to try out the Skee-Ball.
Turns out the game does have quite a lag.. the sensor doesn't seem to be reading when I'm releasing the ball/etc.
It ended up making me more frustrated than having fun. The only that seemed fun and easy to handle was trivia. Although I didn't like the whole "Spinning of the wheel" to get a category.

If you love vocabulary based games and go to sites like freerice often, you will find this game fun. It offers you a choice of instructors and games. You have a required quota for the day and your instructor will let you know how you're doing. In one game you have to choose between 2 words based on the meaning, which is what we play the most. In another you fill in the blanks of a word by spray painting the letter on the screen. This game is a bit frustrating because it's difficult to spray paint the letter with the remote and you lose points if you take too much time. There are some other games too. Playing it as a multi-player game is fun, only my kid scored higher than me just because she is better at using the Wii-mote. I ended up clicking the wrong answer sometimes just because the interface is not as responsive or intuitive as some other Wii games (like Super Mario Galaxy, for instance).
Overall the game is fun but is not really designed to teach you usage of new words. It is built

Wow. Let me say that again: WOW. This game is a neat little gem that works so well with the idea and execution of the Wii. Its fun to play, easy to learn, and challenging as your skills increase.
The idea is deceptivley simple- throw a variety of objects at towers/buildings/constructs of blocks...knock them down, pull pieces away, create domino effects and all that jazz to score points. By and far the most fun are the levels where you can destroy everything. Other levels let you pull pieces away from the larger structure a la Jenga or similar games.
The best part of this game is figuring out the least amount of "moves" needed to complete each goal. The physics engine is quite good and things react, for the most part, as you would expect them to. The ability to move the field around and change some perspective is helpful and actually necessary to complete levels and goals as you progress through the game.
The learing curve is structured well so that by the time you have finished

RUN from this game. It makes Carnival Games look GENIUS in comparison. As the reviewer said, you only get one free game, so you must get a certain amount of tickets & do well enough to play other games since they all cost 10-50 tickets each. Did I mention that in order to get to the next section you must have bought the prizes with said tickets? That each game only gives you 10-100 tickets each, some only 20 even if you play amost perfectly?
There are several review sites like IGN com which even shows you video of several minutes of gameplay. I rented this & I still want my $3 back.

RUN from this game. It makes Carnival Games look GENIUS in comparison. As the reviewer said, you only get one free game in each of the 5 sections, so you must play so many times & do well enough in that game alone to earn enough tickets to play the other about 5 games in that section. All the other games cost 10-50 tickets each to play once & they only give you 10-100 tickets each, some only 20 even if you get the top score & play perfectly. Did I mention that in order to get to the next section you must have bought the prizes with said tickets? It's bad enough the looks of it look cheap, dull, the auctioneer in each section have horrible, inane, non-helpful things to say & all the games are the same, but in different themes. I got to section two before I was tempted to throw my wii remote. Both had a non-moving objects shooting gallery, both had a whack a mole game... A game that forces you to play games repeatedly ad nasueum to get to anther section. why don't they force you to watch

"Ghost Squad" is a very enjoyable shooting game! My son and I liked to play the arcade version together and the Wii game brings the same enjoyment into our living room. The missions are very fun and are certainly challenging enough. There are some hidden "easter eggs" in the game (the "Panda Suit" is a hoot, and there are many others).
Use the WiiRemote by itself is difficult to get accurate shots so my son likes to use Wii Zapper with Link's Crossbow Training and I prefer the Wii Perfect Shot Gun . Our accuracy was much improved using these guns!
Highly recommended!

I gave this to my daughter for her 4th birthday. She really wants to play the Wii like her older siblings but finds most games too complicated. The controls were easy for her to get the hang of. She really liked that she could dress her princess any way she wanted. I definitely think that this is a good game for a 4-6 year old girl.

Hello,
Much anticipated follow up to last years debut. I played the Japanese version over 20 years ago. Still amazes me how little animated figures can be so fluid in game play.
Pitching is very similar to last year. Batting, however, is different. The Bat, not the player moves. It looks a little ackward at first but you kind of get the hang of it.
Major league life mode has been added to the already fun success and season mode. The life mode lets you be the ball player.
I will keep you posted as I continue to play.
