Pros: Great HD Graphics. HDMI Support. Great Gameplay. Amazing multiplayer. Awesome Xbox Live experience (Very little server lag). Thousands of addons, challenges, unlockables, weapons, extras. Challenging, yet enjoyable campaign.
Cons: Frustrating at times. Extra maps are around £8 ($16 USD). Short campaign.
Bought this game a bit late, but got the "Game of the year edition" which means all of those online map downloads. FREE! Which i'm always happy with, me being a bit cheap XD. However! i went to the website to redeem my code to find (http://gameoftheyear.callofduty.com/) that they had "run out of tokens and were refilling" this was over a week ago now. and am really dissapointed they STILL haven't got it sorted.Anyways, enough of the bad side. On to the actual gameplay... One word; outstanding! Deserves the game of the year award, even if the maps dont work :@ no idea why i hadn't bought this game before! The online play is just as good as offline, if not better. Great clan mode to play with your crew. Fantastic array of game play modes, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch etc,etc (only ones i've played ^^). Easy to get into!
Would highly suggest anyone who has not yet bought this. DO! If you like GTA4, you will no doubt like this. The physics engine is quite alike with rag-doll systems and

As someone who reads reviews before buying anything, I decided I would return the favor to Amazon.com by writing a review about a game that I believe is truly exceptional.
Let me start off by saying that if you have been looking for an old-school role-playing game, this is the game for you. This game features boss battles, monster battles, spells, dungeon crawls, small towns complete with an inn, a tavern, a general store that sells equipment and towns people with plenty of random things to say that add nothing to the story what-so-ever. Most of all, this game features a compelling story and a lot of dialogue for your reading pleasure. In My opinion, this is the best RPG I have played since Lunar series (PS1 and Sega CD) and Final Fantasy 7. I believe that these days, the only company people trust with RPGs is Squaresoft's Final Fantasy series and while I too play those games for a good story, a lot of times, I feel bogged down with all of the customization that must be done in order

EA Sports is abusing their monopoly on NFL football right now, and it is very disappointing showing compared to past years of this title. My biggest gripe is that the on line play is buggy, and it is far less entertaining than the last seven years I have purchased it.

Great graphics but again EA being the Monopoly that they are finds a way to ruin things and their cockiness won't accept the fact they messed up.
My game freezes randomly. In franchise mode I know for sure if i play a second game it will freeze if the first game doesn't already. It has froze online and on the play selection menu sometime the instant replay will be all black and white (think like old tv static with no reception)
They patched the game the first week becuase there were so many bugs.
I called EA on Sunday and the Tech guy EVEN SAID "I have a 360 and it freezes on me too we have been receiving alot of calls about this...THE PATCH SHOULD BE OUT IN LIKE A MONTH"
Isn't this why EA has game testers? to find bugs to find glitches..Like I said before the cockiness is too point where we are the BETA we test the games but we don't get paid we pay to test the game.
I can understand bugs but a game that completely freezes or says unreadable disc (new game no scratches) is ridiculous.

I have always been a fan of the Tiger Woods PGA Tour series. I've had it for Wii and I've had it for the xbox 360 - a couple of different versions spanning a few years.
This game is one of the most entertaining video games out there, without frying your mind with mind-numbing time-killing violence. You will actually feel refreshed and relaxed at the end of a nice session of this game.
However, this game is not meant for very short play intervals. You need to relax, enjoy the most authentic golfing experience that is possible through a video game, right in the comfort of your home.
The entire golfing experience feels very real here. You do feel those bunkers out there, and you do see those trees blocking your way to that nice little hole. And if you end up (ever) scoring an eagle, you are bound to be smiling for the rest of your game. It's a great game.
I have some comments on the series in general. EA could have chosen to implement a sort of real-world walk around play. The player

I have mixed feelings about this game, I thought last years version played better. This years version's presentation was much better though. The play by play is light years ahead of the awful guy last year.
Gameplay wise I was a bit disappointed in the passing and return game. The players on kickoff return are way too slow, there is no way to get a touchdown return with Devin Hester the fastest player in the NFL. He is always and I mean always caught. He's just too slow, I think they were trying to make up for last year, where it was way too easy to get a kickoff return TD. Well they did it they made it impossible.
Likewise the passing game has become impossible to get a deep pass down the field, where in years past it was way too easy to get a bomb everytime. Now the defense can get an interception on any deep pass pattern way too easy, the frequent tipped pass interceptions are totally out of whack. Plus having no velocity on touch passes means it takes forever for the ball to get

Fantastic scenarios and character designs, however, this game is way too frustrating to recommend, even to the hardcore tactics fan. Even with the "cover" tactics giving you extra turns, the AI is designed to gang-up and destroy the weakest member of your Wolfpack.
This is not good, because you have a limited number of slots in your inventory for healing items per individual. And you have no healing magic, much less revival magic until late in the game. And of course, it's instant game over once that weakest party member dies, with no "Quick Save" resume available. So that's 1hr.+ of lost work with nothing to show for it, plus the added insult of no way to skip the dialog scenes for a second or third time.
Repeat this process until you memorize the enemy AI's movement and tactics for the upcoming map and load up almost all your inventory with healing items.

This is what happens when lack of competition meets overextension: EA Sports has so many games it no longer cares about their quality, and it has competition in so few areas that it doesn't need to.
While NCAA 09 can be fun at times, it is so full of obvious bugs and strategy flaws that I would be surprised if it actually went through a QA process and was changed at all. If you look on pretty much any 360-related forum, you'll find a huge list. Here's an example of what you'll see:
-- The clock doesn't always run during a kickoff return. That's kind of a big deal when there isn't much time left.
-- If you press a button at the wrong time after an extra point, you'll actually end up selecting your kickoff or return formation and you won't know what you picked.
-- Receivers can run out of bounds for any length of time, come back in and catch the ball without penalty.
-- Yardage announced over the stadium PA rarely matches the pop-up box and in-game stats.
-- When a penalty occurs on a

Freezes all the time. In the second year of my franchise on Madden, I can no longer train my players. Even before this, I couldn't play two consecutive games in my franchise or else it would freeze. Online games drop all the time. I assumed the 08 problems would be on the top of EA's priority list with 09, but they weren't. In fact, it's gotten worse. What EA does should be illegal. It probably is.

I really REALLY wanted to like this game.I saw the commercials with the sharp graphics and witty funny dialogue and thought 'This is going to be a great game' right?WRONG!And I am sorry to say this. Now,I play a lot of first person shooter games and some are better than others obviously. But I've never played one that had so much promise and failed in almost every concievable way possible. Now,before I get to the terrible parts let me start with the very few positive available.
Lets start off with the graphics. They are very realistic and you'll be surprised great they are.The best I've seen in a game of this type so far.The duel acessories/weapon selection is cleaver. You can repair any vehicle pretty fast with a rivot-type gun which is useful. And the dialogue the men in Bad Company during the campaign is actually pretty funny and comedy is certainly a nice change of pace in a game about war and death. And the coolest part of the game is actually firing the Artillery pieces with a airial view

Everything about Madden 09 has improved, but there is more that can be improved. The new commentary is okay, but most of the time the commentators just say "the player, he, or the receiver." I also would not recommend getting the collectors edition if you only will really play Madden 09. The included "bonus features disk" is just a DVD!!!! Of course you will get Head Coach 09, but Head Coach really isn't for those who really want to play the game of football (control players), it's just all about strategy, like picking a play and watching to see it works. Unless you are really a football fanatic and know a lot about what plays to call, how to manage players, and how to manage your team, I highly recommend only getting Madden 09 by itself. The only difference is that you won't be able to play Madden 93 which is on Madden 09 Collector's Edition, and unless you want to relive some memories, Madden 93 shouldn't be much of an attraction. The games themselves do not come in individual packaging,

For a third straight year the idiots at EA have once again failed to produce a worthwile college football game. This year the biggest issue is that defense has been left entirely out of the game. The defensive secondary and the defensive line are basically a nonfactor in the game. Want to sack the quarterback? You're wasting your time. Defensive lines never get within five yards of any quarterback, no matter how awful the offensive line might be. There are two reasons for this: receivers run their routes impossibly fast, covering twenty yards in the blink of an eye, and also because it is impossible for your defensive lineman to get off their blocks. It literally is like running into a brick wall. No matter how much you try to get off the block the offensive lineman just grabs and holds on and won't let you move. Want to pick off a pass? Don't bother. The entire strategy for the secondary is to stand and watch a receiver catch the ball and then try to play catch up. But if once in a blue

Most people attribute the start of the Survival Horror genre to Resident Evil. While you can trace the birth of Survival Horror back far, far before that game (to Sweet Home or, if you want to stretch it, to Haunted House in 1981), modern Survival Horror games were firmly established by the first Alone in the Dark. Since that first game, though, the series has been an up and down roller coaster that never seemed to be able to outmatch some of the better known and more famous franchises like Resident Evil or Silent Hill.
So, when Eden Games started to work on reinventing the franchise, I was cautiously optimistic. A lot of the ideas and concepts they spoke of seemed like great ideas, and they seemed to be trying to Do Something Different. Unfortunately, the sum is not greater than its parts and Alone in the Dark, while reaching for the stars, can't stay afloat.
Things begin appropriately apocalyptic. Edward Carnby awakens in some hotel with some bad men arguing about cryptic shenanigans.

I have always been a fan of the Soul Calibur games, and I didn't really know what to think about this one because all of them have been redundant. Suprisingly though, this Soul Calibur is different. There are so many new characters (like Yoda, it's awesome), you have a lot more options for creating players, and the characters that already exist on the game. The graphics are really good, and online play is awesome. The only problem with the game is the story mode, it is short, it is just 5 battles instead of 8 or 9 like in the other games. The controls are a bit hard to master if you haven't played the other games. I would recomend this game to a Soul Calibur fan.

I love football, been a fan for 20 years. I've played Madden and College football for over a decade so I know how its supposed to look and play. First off NCAA '09 looks great and moves great. The animation is top-notch, I'm always noticing little touches, beautiful for most part. The college team at EA surpasses even Madden when it comes to animation. But none of that matters unfortunately . This game is wholly unbalanced. Glitches abound, graphical annoyances. Nothing comes together as it should. EA doesn't seem to think there are any defensive battles in college football! There is no defense in this game. If the CPU doesn't advance the ball and is forced to punt it seems as if it is only that way because the CPU chooses it to be. The plays that the CPU chooses are just stupid. Run on first down with a loss of yardage, second down run for a loss, only to have their QB throw to a wide open receiver for a first down. Last years version was far from perfect, but I thought

Way too many cut screens; the first two hours of the game are touture. The camera angles are horrible. You have to keep pressing the a button to get through all the blabbering just to get to the turn based fighting. bordem.
im so glad i rented from blockbuster. I wont give 1 star because that would be unfair. Its a great game if you like this style of RPG.

I bought this game based on the so called "10" reviews from the major outlets. I now no longer trust reviews from these so called major outlets. San Andreas was awesome, but this one is just... so blah.
Why?
#1. A story that went no where. "Godfather" of video games? That's laughable. There is nothing that propels the story forward.
#2. Characters that have no depth. Stupid villains and extraneous characters. I didn't care for any of the characters in the game.
#3. Gimped game play from previous game. They took out all the elements that were fun in the previous games.
#4. Money serves no purpose in the game! You can't buy anything in the game!
#5. After the first 3 hours, the game became repetitive and boring.
Rockstar, you've lost a fan.

I beat this game in about 3 hours, never failed a song, 5 starred 95% of the songs on my first try. Pathetically easy. Not enough songs. Activision is just trying to make some easy money. Do not buy it...just rent it.

This game scored a 90/100 on the PC windows platform. the gaming sites scored it on the XBOX 360 at 50/100.
WHY?......because its got lots of technical problems. they may (hopefully) patch the bugs thru Xbox Live over the next few weeks or months. if they do....then it will be worth buying at that time.
Check out the big review sites(gamespot....1up) for yourself before you hand over your hard earned money.

The games is only Ok, there is absolutely no defense in the game whatsoever as it is not surprising to consistently put up 60 points a game no matter who you play, even on the hardest difficulty.
