I have a lot of word/logic games for the DS. This looked promising, but is not a very good game. The games are too simplistic for me. In several of the games, you cannot correct a letter input error, instead you have to click the "x" to clear the entire answer - and then in some instances, it penalizes you for having to do that! The most frustrating thing for me is that the stylus input is very erratic and it is difficult if not impossible, to correct input errors. Also, it would have been helpful to have a menu of the games with a picture to show you what you're about to play. Instead, you have to cycle through each title - if you don't remember what it's about, you have to "launch" it to find out which one it is.

This is not a word game. It's a game! Word searches, find a word amongst letters. There is nothing to do with learning vocabulary. My Word Coach is a vocabulary/word game. Margots Word Brain, doesn't know basic words. It has a limited vocabulary. This is not a vocabulary game for adults, it's just a game. If you want to look at basic words and create them (3/4/5/6 letter words) off of a word wheel, this is the game for you. The title is deceptive, there is no brain action here. This is a GAME, if that's what you want, to play word searches, it's what you're looking for. If your vocabulary extends beyond kindergarten there is no reason to play this game.

I agree with the reviews. I won't go into it in detail since the others did that already but I'll give out my opinion. I love word puzzles and was very excited to get this game.
I was disappointed in the variety. Clicking on a letter sometimes doesn't register, thus losing time on the timed game. I went through some games and lost interest.
There are other better word games out there. MUCH BETTER!!! Save your money and get my favorite one, Word Jong or My Word Coach or Spelling Challenges.

What "Princess Debut" lacks in narrative substance it pretty much makes up for in sheer eye-squeezing cuteness, and in the end that was all I was really after when I bought it, though the kawaii factor may not be enough to justify this skim game's price where most gamers above its target age demographic are concerned. (I'll be honest, it was that damn cute cover that lured me in. Call it an inspired Out-Of-Character purchase.) Fortunately, the actual non-story related gameplay, although slim pickin's, really isn't half bad.
What you have in your hands here is basically a run-of-the-mill dating sim (albeit a fairly 'lite' example--scratch that, very lite) built around a framework of power-leveling through various stylus tracing exercises, or "dances". The entire package is pretty obviously geared toward young girls (as if the box artwork and weren't a clue), and by young I mean little, as the dating sim aspects of "Princess Debut" make it pretty easy avoid floundering, and, honestly, the

When I turned 49 this year, I realized this was my year for self improvement. I read more, exercised more, cut back eating a lot of red meat and started to do puzzle books to increase my memory.
My Cousin Jeremy spent a few weeks with me. He had a Gameboy DS. I started playing Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day! and I was hooked. I broke down and bought a DS unit (see Jeremy, Its all your fault!). Jeremy gave me Brain Age 2 as a gift. But I wanted more.
I was never a fast finger sort. I was more a trivia based/fact filled information junkie person. So I bought Crosswords DS (see my review)..and I wanted more.
A friend suggested this program and I bought it. I have been writing for many years. I still found this program interesting. It is for young and old alike.
Now the problem I have it letter reconizing on a timed game situation, which is hit or miss. The same problem I have with Crosswords DS gameboy game. The system see an I for an L or an N for a H. Once you get passed

A Big Disappointment For Me
This game was a big disappointment to me. After pre-ordering it and waiting almost three months for it to arrive, I find it's got nothing much to interest me. I will try to describe the game so you can figure out whether it would suit you.
When you start up the game, orienting it in book fashion, you get Margot on the left screen while the touch screen pictures a sheet of note paper with "Save file loaded successfully." typed in tiny print. And I wonder: What file is being saved in this never before played game? Don't we usually play something before we have files to save? Don't really get that.
Next you tap on the check mark (Margot calls it a "tick". This is a British game. ) On the next screens you see M again, get some music and Margot greeting you with "Welcome to Margot's Word Game". Then the touch screen changes to the words "Word Brain" bracketed by left and right arrows, and at the bottom of the screen an "X" in a red circle (the X is referred

Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood was a game much anticipated by the fanbase, seeing how it was developed by a studio known for its expertise in developing RPGs on PCs. Well, the game is out in North America as of yesterday, so how is it?
To start on a positive note, the writing is pretty good. The writing in Sonic games tends to range from average to abysmal, so a decently written one which actually imbues the characters with personalities instead of making them out to be caricatures is a refreshing change. Much like just about every other Bioware game ever made, the game features branching dialogue trees, as well as an option to make Sonic say something snarky or dickish, which often has hilarious results.
As for the rest of the game...well, it feels rather uneven.
The music and sound production, for one, is absolutely atrocious. The music mostly consists of bad remixes of excellent tracks from other Sonic games, mostly butchered by awful arrangements and terrible samples. I normally

only been playing it a couple of days. if you've played sim city ds, you'll find this similar, so it helps with the controls. no problem there.
as usual, you worry about population, industry, and food. start out hunting and gathering. then go to the middle ages.
glad i bought it.

Underrated was the first thing that came to mind after playing this game. I was very worried when buying this game since many review sites were giving it a mediocre score, but I've discovered this is because the reviewers are comparing this game to Biowares top selling games such as Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect. They're stating that the game has a basic story and the dialogue in the game is cheesy. It's Sonic, you shouldn't expect a deep story with lots logic, it's supposed to be simple and fun. If you've played his early games some of the lines will make you laugh and smile, the game is simply fun and keeps the story fun but simple.
This game feels more like the original Sonic games, what I mean by that is some of the choices you have to with Sonics dialogue is more rude rather than directly helpful, you run around towns and forests gathering rings, if you run into a badnick you enter combat. Rings are your currency and you spend them RPG style on items and equipment.

I bought this product based on my happiness with UbiSoft's "My French Coach." It's just as good!
Like "My French Coach," "My Chinese Coach" teaches vocabulary and pronunciation by using games and common expressions. I have really learned a lot from the program's ability to record MY voice pronouncing things. I find the little graph that shows a voice print to be incredibly instructive. You can slow down or speed up the recording to match the speed at which you record your own voice, and see exactly where you've gone wrong on the graph while comparing your voice to the teacher's.
Learning to write the script has proven more difficult than I expected, but the tool allows you to write over theirs, repeat theirs, and apply theirs over the top of your own.
Two downsides:
--There is no option in the placement test for saying you don't know, so if you inadvertently guess correctly, you can get placed several lessons in (I got placed at the 5th lesson, and I could only say "thank you," and

I didn't really know what to expect when firing up Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood for the first time. After playing the game, though, I think I have an idea of what Bioware's pitch to Sega was in the initial meetings, "it'll be exactly like Mario RPG only with Elite Beat Agent mechanics thrown in at odd intervals, and a story told through the rich canon of the Sonic universe." That may sound like I'm not too into the game, but I am. It has flaws, but the basic description I listed above made a prett good game.
The game is a solid take on Sonic in an RPG forum, everything works and Bioware finds a place for all of Sonic's odd lore. The main problems, polish and pace, aren't enough to damage enjoyment of the entire experience.
My biggest complaint with the game is that it just feels and looks cheap. The game looks great while standing still. The backgrounds are crisp and the characters are distinctive for a DS game, but in motion everything falls apart. The characters do animate

I waited for this game for months and now I have my hands on it.
Did I like it? Well, the title of this review should state it!
BEST KIRBY GAME BY FAR!
KSSU is everything Superstar on the SNES was but add in NICER graphics,
some new Boss Themes, "Revenge Of The King", "MetaKnightmare Ultra","True Arena", "Helper To Hero", NEW Bosses, 3 Touchscreen Mini Games, some nice cutscene movies on top of everything that's already there and you got yourself an EVEN more incredible Kirby game!
Seriously, I don't think I have anything bad to say about KSSU. It's just THAT good. Yeah, the games go by rather quick and it's not insanely difficult but trust me you will be kept entertained for hours on end trying to get that oh so perfect 100% rating on your game file! I know
I was.
Hats off to the pink ball! After the decent Squeak Squad & pretty original interesting Canvas Curse....he has a NICE Revamp comeback
game on the DS that he can truly be proud of. If you are a Kirby fan...

I bought this game because I remember how much fun Kennedy Approach was back on the Commodore 64 (or was it the TI?). At first, the game was very frustrating because a lot of basic things were not explained, like the fact that one runway can be 2 runways, or many of the details of the pilots' procedures (very important--they will follow your orders even if it means mass carnage).
But then I read the other review here, and gave it another chance, and I love it.
Now I want to add another star. Looks like another irreversible decision.
I'll leave the description to the ATC reviewer, but this game is just a lot of fun. It takes place a little faster than a real-time pace, which presumably makes it more fast-paced than the actual job, but there is a lot of leeway on how to handle situations. But you do have to plan ahead, because there are very few instances where you can rescue a bad decision. Even so, this game somehow avoids being frustrating--not once have I felt the urge to throw my

I had huge hopes for this game, that it might actually be a Nancy Drew game worthy of the title, after mildly disliking the Nancy Drew: The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park and Nancy Drew: The Mystery of the Clue Bender Society series. Don't get me wrong, those titles were fun, but they used mini action video games to solve the puzzles, not brainpower. I had hoped that this would have puzzles to solve, but, alas, it's just a mindless scavenger hunt. For those who want a mystery with puzzles to solve, especially for young girls, a better choice is American Girl Kit Mystery Challenge

Too many people are comparing the DS version to the Xbox 360 or PS3 version. You can't do that and be unbiased. There is no way the game can be rendered or played the same way on the DS as it is on the stationary console systems. I own it for both DS and 360 and it's a great game for both. But I think as far as DS games goes it really shines. Beautifully rendered graphics for the DS, excellent sound, and a wonderful storyline. If you're a DS buff like myself and enjoy portable games more than console games this is a must own for your favorite pocket pal.

The game may look for kids, and feature outdated graphics, but it will get your brain going and test your prioritizing skills. The whole point of the game is to see how many things you can keep track of at once. You are scored points depending on how fast a plane can reach its intended goal (either take off or arriving at a gate)
On the easiest difficulty, you'll have maybe two planes in the air at any given time, with one or two on the ground waiting to take off. Landing the planes is easy, just move them to an empty gate, provided there isn't a plane on the runway blocking you.
On higher difficulty, especially on Expert, the game throws more planes at you that are trying to land, while also giving you a full airport with planes waiting to take off. Can you keep an eye on those planes flying over the airport? Can you adjust their speed in time so they don't crash into each other? On the ground, will the lanes get clogged with traffic? Can you recognize which plane should leave first

As a child I loved Nancy Drew. I bought this game hoping for a good mystery. I was sadly disappointed. While the graphics are good, the game itself is very simple and quite boring. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

After seeing 10 reviews and this having a 5 star overall rating (9 five and 1 four), I couldn't resist picking this game up for under 20 bucks.
I'm a 34 year old male who usually enjoys sports simulations, rpg, adventure, and puzzle and family games.
It feels very much like the I Spy games or Hidden Mystery games on the PC. It contains very little story with very short interactions with the suspects. You do virtually nothing to 'solve' the mystery other than find random items within a picture and solve some simple puzzles. The items are completely random and don't even go along with the story or setting (ie: within the garden you find a bundle of junk the millionheir left there)
Then to top things off, you suddenly have to perform some silly task before you can get information from a suspect (like fix a clock or find some ingredients for a recipe). I thought I was supposed to be a detective.
It had a few nice tools, like the usage of a flash light, x-ray pen, and straw (microphone)

"...and this showcase can be yours if The Price is Right!"
When I heard there was a game in the works, I was excited beyond reason. I immediately found and pre-ordered this game as quickly as I could. The weeks ticked by and finally, the day came when it arrived in my mailbox. I couldn't tear through the wrapping fast enough. Turns out, I should've simply said "Return to Sender" from the very start.
This game, simply put, is HORRIBLY designed.
For LFATs like me (if you don't know what it stands for you aren't one, plain and simple), TPiR is represented by six PGs, two Showcase Showdowns, and the Showcase at the end of the show. Plain and simple. It's fast, it's funny, and it's familiar.
Oh yeah, and it has a host too.
The flow of this game is ridiculous. Aside from the fact that it's got a bunch of slowly scrolling text to represent the prize descriptions and explain the rules--scrolling text you can't speed up--there's a lot of time simply wasted on dissolves where cuts would

I purchased this game as a gift; the person I gave it to completed the game in 1.5 hours. The graphics look great in the game, and appeared to have a lot of potential. But basically, as Nancy Drew, you spend your time getting lists of missing items from 8 different characters, walk around the mapped estate both indoors and outdoors, find the 5 or 6 items on the list to complete that list. After doing so, you go to the attic of the mansion where the game proceeds to solve itself for you. This game was a huge disappointment to my 'giftee'; if you are going to purchase a Nancy Drew game for the DS, I recommend either of the following: The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park or The Mystery of the Clue Bender Society, which give the player the ability to use deductive reasoning and to solve numerous puzzles throughout.
