Lost Odyssey: Xbox 360
The graphics are excellent all around so let's get that settled right out of the gate. There's some loading time of a few seconds when walking between scenes, but its not terrible.

I like turn-based combat so I thought this would be a good game to buy. Unfortunately the pacing of the combat is too slow to be enjoyable. You cannot skip past the scene at the beginning of every battle and you cannot make the battle animations go faster (as one could with Enchanted Arms). So be prepared to sit thru a whole bunch of combat animations again and again. Overall, the combat is fun and it offers a decent challenge, but Lost Odyssey doesnt do anything new with the combat either.

Annoying are the occasional stealth and "puzzle" missions which are just pointless. They aren't fun and the game would be better off without them.

The story is interesting enough with some nice plot twists (no spoilers will be made here) but the villain is utterly predicable too. Its a shame the story couldnt come

Mass Effect: Xbox 360
It was a good game with a great story and excellet dialoge. I just wish your choices had a better impact in the overall story, and it can get a bit tedious at some points.

Too Human: Xbox 360
Not great. Most of the other reviewers covered the areas pretty well. Suffice it to say that the camera is awful, the combat is surprisingly fun (though do some research, because they don't really explain a lot to you), and the story is pretty "rad", as the kids say. Download the demo first to get a really good feel for what Too Human has to offer. Be warned, however, if mythology doesn't interest you at all, leave this one alone. You'll not be impressed. My love of the Norse pantheon really improved my game experience. Also of note is Crispin Freeman as Baldur. Anyone who has watched Hellsing or Ghost in the Shell will recognize his voice. It is an added bonus.

Mass Effect: Xbox 360
I had no idea what Mass Effect was. I bought the game on a whim with little prior knowledge as to the story or gameplay or anything of that sort. I only knew that you could made decisions and choose the flow of the story (as in most Bioware games). When I started playing, I was honestly astounded. The game, first off, is beautiful and its story is rich. I actually cared about and felt connected to the characters. The gameplay was pretty good for me...it's not an FPS, so fans of that genre will most likely be disappointed. It's an RPG and it plays like one. My only issue comes with tedious planet-roaming missions and long load times - trying to disguise them with long elevator rides does not work. Also, the ending is basically the same no matter how you play. There are a couple of major decision points but they don't actually have much influence, at least as far as this first game is concerned (of course, later in the series, we'll see the consequences of whatever decision is made).

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise: Xbox 360
(From PlayingWithMyWeiner.com:)

f you're my friend or my poor husband, you've heard me running around for months singing the following (to the tune of "La Cucheracha"):

Viva Piñata, Viva Piñata
It is a nice piñata game!
Viva Piñata, Viva Piñata
No two piñatas are the same!
Olè!

Before this week, though, it was a lie. All of my brightly colored papery pals were the same. Same colors, same Candyosity, same names. Never more.

Viva Piñata:Trouble in Paradise from Rare and Microsoft Game Studios builds on the original Viva Piñata formula of building a garden, attracting and breeding piñatas, and sending them off to children who enjoy their sweet sweet candy. Players who "dug" the original will like this one, because it has everything the first game has and more. New gardeners won't feel left behind: the game has an excellent and reasonably interesting tutorial system that will set you up with gardening basics. Besides, it's not that difficult a game.

That is not to say that VP:TIP

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise: Xbox 360
I feel that if you're a fan of the original, you probably don't need this review. For those who are new to the Pinata games, it's a game where you tend to a garden in order to attract new pinatas to it. Gameplay focuses on growing plants and trees, keeping your pinatas safe and happy, and "catching them all". While it seems simplistic and childish, the game is surprisingly deep like the original. As your gardening skills get bigger, you receive various upgrades to your tools, the plants at your disposal, the size of your garden, and of course, the pinatas that are coming in to see what all the fuss is about.

One of the greatest things about this is how relaxing it can be to tend to your garden and watch the pinatas roam about. While there is a bit of comic violence in the game, it isn't enough to raise eyebrows and is perfectly suitable for most children 8+. Also, the game incorporates 2 player Co-Op so you can play with a friend or with your children. Hopefully this little review

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise: Xbox 360
Don't let the little kid looks fool you. This is even more addicting for adults. And yes, even hardcore games should have a lot of fun with it, if they go in with an open mind. A must have for any 360 owner who doesn't mind a little cuteness in their games.

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise: Xbox 360
It plays like the first game but much better. The menu system is a lot better and makes buying seeds very fast and it's really easy to find pinatas. There's a lot of new plants and pinatas that will keep you busy for hours.

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise: Xbox 360
Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise is a great sequel to the first. Much improved upon menu systems and many more features, piñata, plants, and items. Your piñata can now be trained to do tricks which can be fun trying to figure out what they need to eat to get them to do tricks. There are now dessert and arctic type piñata to be found via going to those realms and trapping them as needed. The trapping is easy to learn and is nice to let you get away from the confines of your garden. You should not stay there long though as time keeps ticking back in your garden.

They even did a great job in having the same piñata from the original game requiring different things to romance or become a resident. So whatever you may remember from the first game for the most part is different now. The romance games are now more challenging as well. The more often you romance the same piñata, the harder the mini-game becomes.

So, if you liked the first game, you should love Trouble in Paradise.

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise: Xbox 360
Rare's second outing for the Viva Pinata series is not much different that the original game. The gameplay is relatively the same, the controls are relatively the same, the graphics are practically the same -- at first glance, you'll wonder what effort Rare made on this second game, other than adding two new play areas and a couple dozen new pinatas.

You'll start this game somewhat similar to how the original game started -- in a garden that barely has anything. The difference is that you'll get a random animal, some flowers, and will attract new pinatas fairly quickly. In fact, the first 30-60 minutes is extremely fast-paced. Many of the original pinatas will appear rather early. The fun, though, is in seeing the new pinatas appear -- watching the reveal videos and then working to make them residents. After that, you'll need to romance them (and you'll see another new video for that new species). This adds a somewhat fresh take on the same old gameplay. This is probably where Rare put

I love the game and you will too if you enjoy titles like Diablo. It has a few flaws with the camera, but other than that it's nearly perfect. A lot of people are down on the game due to the platform its exclusive to. Give the game a rent like I did and you'll be surprised by it.

Halo 2: Xbox
Halo 2
One of the greatest selling games of all time and the best selling X-Box game is Halo 2. If you have not heard of this game yet, you need to come out from under that rock. Almost everyone loved the original game. The sequel had a huge name to live up to, and I feel they did an amazing job on Halo 2. The Multi-Player gameplay will have you playing for an extremely long time. Single player features a unique, deep story to play through. Halo 2 takes everything that was good in the original Halo and improved on it.

Graphics- 9/10
The graphics are probably the best that the X-Box could handle. Reflections, lighting, and glare all have been extremely improved upon in this game. Master Chief has breath-taking reflections on his armor and visor. The guns all also have a nice shine to them.

All animations and characters are well done. A new race, named the Brutes, has been created, and brings a nice sense of freshness to battles. The Brutes can battle with guns like everything else, but

Halo 3: Xbox 360
maybe its just me, but i found halo 3 to be a little cheesey and weird. keep in mind that i have not played the other 2. alot of the weapons were lame and half the time, i couldnt see where i was in the game. much of it is darkly lit or hard to see. overall, there are better shoot-'em-up games out there.

Xbox 360 - Crackdown
i'm a mature gamer who bought a dozen or so games along with a new xbox just to see how the technology had evolved. (all the digital animation in recent films had piqued my interest.) having just opened grand theft auto 4 and assassin's creed, my first impression of this game was not favorable. but i've come to appreciate its unique and considerable charms. it is basically the urban sandbox, multi island, gansta life conceit of gta4, plus the rooftop play, "assassination mission plus side missions" concept of assassin's creed, but with a distinctively "comix" style of graphical design that is stylized to be less realistic, less textured, less graphically gory than either gta 4 or ac but more colorful, lively, and "artistic" than either. your avatar is not a thug but a maniacal police agent fighting evil and cleaning the streets, so you're not put in the position of looking at everything through gangster eyes, which is nice. however the most enjoyable innovation is a gruff voiceover guide

Lost Odyssey: Xbox 360
Way too many cut screens; the first two hours of the game are touture. The camera angles are horrible. You have to keep pressing the a button to get through all the blabbering just to get to the turn based fighting. bordem.

im so glad i rented from blockbuster. I wont give 1 star because that would be unfair. Its a great game if you like this style of RPG.

Forza Motorsport 2 ( Xbox 360 )
A good simulator is a beautiful thing. I remember way back when the first Gran Turismo had come out in Japan and a friend of mine showed it to me (like 6 months before it came out in America) and I first glanced at the hidden high-resolution mode. I remember thinking that it didn't look like a playstation game and didn't play like one either. It played like something from the future, like something brought back in a time-machine. Every since Gran Turismo people have been trying to steal its thunder with their own driving simulator for the masses. The first one that made a dent was Forza for the Xbox. And naturally when the long-awaited 360 version came out people were excited (and especially since Gran Turismo 5 has been ages in development the full-priced tech demo called Prologue is a disappointment to some as it lacks full-version...depth). It ain't perfect. But it really is quite a beast.

If you're looking for the perfect driving simulator you can look somewhere else (Gran Prix Legends

Lost Odyssey: Xbox 360
Lost Odyssey is an exciting addition to any persons collection. It is, indeed, a great game. The graphics are fine. The story is intriguing and holds some depth. The gameplay itself is a welcome change to Blue Dragon, and other such similar games. But, after you hit the second disc, it starts to get too repetitive to be satisfying the whole time you play it. The story just isn't that gripping. Of course, keep in mind, that repetitiveness comes with the territory of a turn based rpg. If you really enjoy the genre, you will really enjoy the game. All in all, well worth a try, I enjoyed it very much.

Xbox 360 - Crackdown
I bought this game when it came out, and I literally couldn't stop playing it. I ended up selling my XBOX 360 becasuse I was convinced I had a real problem. Then 6 months later I bought a replacement XBOX 360. A week later I bought Crackdown again, but kept it under control.

Great game. Giant open-world platformer, kind of like everything good about Spiderman 2 and GTA III rolled into one. The powerups and achievements are doled out in such perfect operant conditioning that (for me at least) you can't turn it off.
