I bought this TV through Amazon from JR Music Co.for $449.00 just before Christmas. They said in their e-mail response to my order that although the TV was new and factory fresh they would open it and add extra packing. I wondered since it had already made it from Mexico to NYC why extra packing was necessary.
I found no extra packing when I opened the box and when I turned on the TV the blank screen had an arc of light about an inch wide from the edge of the screen to just past the middle. My suspicions were heightened.
But after finally adjusting the picture I am more than pleased. I am a subscriber to Directv. I've never seen such vivid colors even on stations that are not High Def. The screen looks like an expensive glossy photograph. I am mesmerized by the colors and the sound is so good I watched an hour and half performance by the Vienna Philharmonic Ochestra on PBS last night without having to turn on my stereo.
The day I ordered this tv from Amazon for $449.00 and no shipping

Previous Setup: Sony Wega 36 + basic cable for locals / direct tv for everything else + tivo + Bose Lifestyle 1-2 System for sound.
Current Setup: Sony 52XBr6 + direct tv dvr (dual channel) for everything including local channels + Bose Lifestyle 1-2 System for sound + Ethernet connection to the direct tv dvr for on demand service. Upgrading the satellite dish for HD capability also got us a dish that could handle local signals.
Yet to do for setup: Use the network features of the set and add a blue ray player. Since we rarely used the dvd or vhs that were connected to the Sony Wega, a blue ray is a low priority. We will probably never use the tv for playing games.
Delivery: Oustanding. Ordered through Amazon and received the set in 5 business days. One notice from Amazon when the set shipped and would be at my house, and one notice from the delivery company about delivery time. I did nothing but open the door for the delivery folks. They took care of the unpacking and setting

I always read customer reviews before purchasing a product, and before I bought this Samsung TV, I looked at all customer reviews for all 22" flat screen TVs. I own another small Samsung and it works very well in the kitchen. What I liked most about it was the clear picture and the footprint and how little space it occupied, so I decided that another Samsung would be a good choice. Ignoring the warning echos in other reviews, I thought this would be the ideal TV.
What other reviewers mentioned was absoutely on target. Information about the channel or anything else is so small and stays on the screen so briefly, that it is almost impossible to read. Worst display I have ever seen. I discovered that if you push the "info" button the display remains on the screen, but I have to cross the room to read it, as the print is still very small. What were they thinking when they designed this display?
Further, other reviews warned that if you were not directly sitting in front of the TV, you

I don't know why there are hardly any reviews for this tv. Anyways, I bought this from sony.com with employee discount for $430, when it was priced $450 here on black friday. However when it arrived at my house and finished auto programming channels, the speakers would make a very audible buzzing noise whenever the speakers were turned on...regardless of input. Ultimately it was determined to be defective, and was exchanged for free (shipping included) a few days later. I use this tv mainly for my ps3, as I only have an antenna connection at the moment. The screen is brilliant. Great colors and contrast. However when I was watching a show like Sienfeld on fox digital, I did notice the picture would appear rather grainy. It's much more noticeable on certain channels or programs than others I suppose. I'm also a little confused by the constant change in screen size as I go from channel to channel or from commercial break back to program. This happens when the screen mode is set to

I own 46" XBR6 for about 3 weeks now, I use this as a monitor from time to time and find primary colors somewhat inaccurate. Though I have to say this display does provide POP people ask for. I have not played any blu-ray movies so can't comment on that but pretty sure it would look great. Black levels are much better than I expected from an LCD. Even SDTV feed from cable looks better than expected but not for all programming so I can firmly say that upconversion process is pretty good. I did not see any motion blur while watching football. My initial comment about non-accurate color is more evident when you have another TV/monitor side by side (i have 21" NEC Professional series CRT next to my 46XBR6), otherwise it would be hard to tell for most people as my wife and friends were not able to see inaccurate primary colors until i turned my NEC.

Bought this TV on cyber Monday and have been pleased with the performance so far. The price is now $25 less than when I purchased it and I would expect it to continue to go lower. Since Amazon no longer does price adjustments, saavy shoppers could do better by waiting.

We expected to be blown away by the Sony XBR6, especially since so many people rank it even with or better than the Samsung 750. And the picture is great - when you get all the adjustments fine tuned. The Steelers trouncing of the Browns game was gorgeous! We highly recommend it but with a few cautions:
- Not the set for the "set it and forget it" type. Many adjustments required but it is beautiful when you get done.
- Sound. We heard many complaints about the sound from LCD sets so picked the XBR6 specifically because it has an internal subwoofer. But we found the subwoofer made little difference even when set to maximum, especially if you put the TV in a cabinet where the sound gets trapped inside. We fixed this by hooking up an external powered subwoofer to the sound output jacks on the rear of the set. Made a phenomenal difference - I highly recommend this if you can't use a surround sound receiver. And you can't do it on the Samsung (see below).
- Network upgrades. Features

My only complaint is the fact it seems to take awhile to get the picture/sound once you turn the television on. It took very little time to receive the set once ordered, and I am very pleased with the quality of the picture. I had been shopping for a Sharp television and could not find another source which could come close to the price I got on Overstock.

This was a gift for my parents and I was very satisfied with the Toshiba product/brand and the overstock.com delivery. The pricing was good. The delivery was very quick and the overall process was very easy.

I really love this TV! I compared it to the Samsung, which had some higher revews, but when I saw them side-by-side, I really liked this better. The setup was intuitive, and my jaw dropped when I saw the Blu-Ray picture on it. I was happy with the HD feed, but the Blu-Rays take it to the next level. Love the four HDMI inputs, too -- need them!

I was very impressed with the style and quality of this product. It is the perfect size for my one bedroom apartment! The picutre quality is wonderful thus far...I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but with HD cable, and even regular channels, the quality is still very good! Some channels the sound is very quiet, but others the standard volume is just fine! I'd definitely buy this product again, and for the price, it was a steal!

This is a great product. Shipping was marvelous -very fast, I ordered this parti'cular size because of the size limitations of my cabinet. The installation was so simple - when I ordered it, I didn't realize it would read my SD cards - neat feature. The price was super and I loved the delivery to my house without having to lug it home myself and also not having to drive 110 miles to the nearest store handling a variety of TVs. Thanks Overstock.....

After looking for an HDTV for quite a while, it became clear that the XBR was the way to go. Nobody beat Amazon on price plus free delivery. Unfortunately, as far as the delivery is concerned, you get what you pay for. I ordered the TV and then about the time the delivery was to have occurred, it didn't. I contacted Amazon- who were very responsive and they then contacted the delivery company and were told that they had been trying to contact me (not true) to arrange a time and day. I then contacted them directly and scheduled the "white glove" delivery. By the way, white glove must mean a filthy truck, a giant dirty box dragged across your floor onto a carpet leaving dirt everywhere and no unpacking or removal of box or set up. One guy, one truck, dragging a giant box.
Now, the good news is that the TV is spectacular and a breeze to set up even for a complete technophobe like me. Also worth mentioning is that Amazon lowered the price the day after I ordered the TV and they refunded

I have had this now for a little over two weeks, and am blown away by the picture quality. The reviewer who complained about only one rf antenna input needs to get a new set top box from the cable company or change to a new provider. I am subscribed to Verizon FIOS in the Maryland suburbs, and their set top box for HD has multiple outputs including an HDMI. This TV has multiple inputs, including a single RF input for off the air or cable; three older yellow, red and white types; two component inputs, 4 HDMI inputs plus a PC and DMeX input. This should cover everyone's needs. The remote will control up to 4 devices including Verizon's STB, and you can program it tell you what device you are connecting.
Overall, I was pleased with the white glove delivery. The CEVA company out of Odenton said they would deliver it between 10 and 3, but the driver didn't arrive until 5. In his defense, he said that this was the last of his 22 appointments for that day. He came in and helped to move

I bought this television about a month ago after doing extensive research on HDTVs. If you're in the same boat, I'm writing this review to try to help out. I couldn't find a ton of info about this TV online...it's out there, but you do have to dig a bit...so when it came down to it, customer reviews ended up being very helpful.
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and think the quality of the product and the value it offers are worth a look. Getting right down to it:
The Good Stuff:
1)This television offers a very, very good picture. And let's face it, when it comes to buying an HDTV, this is the absolute most important thing you need to concern yourself with. I spent over two hours on two different days in three different Best Buys comparing HD pictures on comparable models of various brands of HDTVs, and I was very pleased with the Toshiba. And as a side note to buyers who are not necessarily looking at this model, but just as a sheer comparison, it will be hard to go wrong

I ordered this TV from BuyNow, based on a review from CNET. They said the picture on this TV was the best they've seen, except for the Samsung LN32A450. The Samsung is $100 more than this TV, and I could barely justify $500, so I got this one. I don't regret it. It's got a wonderful picture, decent sound, and my Xbox 360 looks great on it.
I mis-read the connections, and thought it had two component plugs. I was planning to put my Xbox on one component input and my DVD player on the other. Instead, I've got my DVD/VCR hooked up to a composite connection. The picture into that input isn't ideal, but it's still pretty decent, and if I want to play DVDs I just play them through my Xbox and it upsamples for me.
My Tivo looks great on the S-Video connection, too, although the TV is so accurate that we can clearly see the compression artifacting in programs that are recorded in "Basic" mode. I'm going to have to get used to that. That's a good thing, though, since it shows that the picture

simply an awesome tv, especially at this price. the picture is outstanding, especially with hdmi/digital fiber optic cables attached. but the thing that makes it super is the easy-to-operate user interface and easy connectivity. set up is simple and takes five minutes. menus aren't terribly complicated, and did i mention the great picture from HD TV and DVD? originally got the 26" model, then upgraded for just a few pennies more. slightly bigger form factor with the 32" but the profile is still slim.

We purchased this TV as our primary TV for in the living room of our new apartment. We wanted something discreet- that would not take over the room as most TVs do so we figured a white LCD TV would be best. This Samsung has a great picture when on and when off looks very elegant. We placed it in the corner of the room on a side table and when off it merely compliments our decor. Primarily we watch it from about 8', but its also easily viewable from a sharp angle 12' away in the kitchen. We didnt mount the TV but the holes are there for mounting purposes and the directions include a section on how to best mount the TV. The A/V inputs are on the back of the TV, which would limit how close to the wall its mountable. We have had the TV now for almost a month and have nothing but positive comments about it.
The only negative is that it is not true 16:9. When viewing programs/movies in 16:9 format (which is the majority of movies now) the viewing size of this TV is technically about 20" not

I recall that years ago an episode of The Jetsons had an image of George reading the newspaper on a wall sized video monitor. The image has stuck with me despite my feeling that it wouldn't ever happen; there's something about sitting in a relaxing chair and reading the paper that goes unmatched with reading the paper on a computer monitor. But the primary difference is actually the chair. Who has a comfy reading chair in front of their computer?
Sony's HDTV's have, in the last few years, crossed over from being only worthy as a television monitor to having qualities comparable to the best computer monitors. Their XBR2 series, which I just replaced, allowed for some crossover activities, but I was never particularly pleased with using that TV for computing activities.
So now here we have a 52" HDTV/Computer monitor, and while I realize that none of you are actually thinking of buying this to be your primary computer screen, quite a number of you will, I suspect, eventually use it as
