Just bought a HP desktop system last night which included the 20" monitor. I was amazed at the quality of the picture, but dissatisfied with the volume level of the internal speakers. Not bad if you are sitting real close and there is complete silence around you. Good thing I didn't throw my external speakers away!

I owned this monitor for about a week now and I hate it. The picture quality is poor, this monitor is not worth the money... keep looking for something better. I have a very high end computer with the biggest video card I can have, quad core processor, and 16 gig ram. Its a gaming rig and this montior should have emachines on it and not apple. I am (or was) a huge apple fan, and thats prolly why I bought it, however tomorrow when bestbuy opens, I will be returning it and just getting a 32 inch hd tv to use as my monitor. I can get a samsung 32 inch 1080p 120Hz tv that I am sure will beat this out of the water, I will get a remote to use for volume, I will put about $1000 back into my pocket and I think with my savings ill buy something else.

This monitor is incredible. I use it mostly for entertainment. My wife and I use it to view photos and watch Netflix online. Great for watching movies and you just can't beat the price for this size of monitor.

My experience with Acer monitors have determined my choice. That is the one reason I buy ACER. The other is their prices. I've had only one that I experience problems with and it was replaced after 2 1/2 years of flawless operation. Be sure to purchase the extended service plans, they are well worth protecting your investment.

Great monitor, has great color and ease of viewing. Perfect adjustment for viewing. The only dislike is when adjusting volume on the screen, it stays on the screen a long time after volume has been adjusted. At first I thouhg it was my computer but the old monitor did not take as long when volume was adjusted.

I bought this monitor 3 months ago to go with my new HP Desktop. I use it mainly for gaming and photo editing purposes. The monitor is a perfect size, its not too big or small. The picture is clear and bright and I haven't had any trouble with it while gaming. While editing photos I've been able to see much more detail than ever before. This is a fantastic monitor and well worth the money. I couldn't have made a better choice.

I bought this monitor as a replacement for my old crt monitor. I saw a 24" dell for much cheaper but I have always had problems with dell hardware. So i decided to get HP cause their products and customer service have always been friendly to me. What a great looking screen this is. Even when its not on.
I have only one problem with it. The verticle veiwing angle is bad. i like to lay in bed and watch shows as i sleep but its hardto see cause everything darkens. So if your gonna get a wall mount you will find yourself adjusting he verticle position to fit where u are in the room often.
I didnt even realize it had speakers till i got it home. As bad as they are the only use i can find for them is in an office setting, to save space. But I never came across a monitor or tv with bangin sound so.
But this monitor really stuck out from the rest and seeing how if I have problems with it, I get hooked up by HP.

I've had 2 of these monitors for about 3 months now and have experienced absolutely no problems with either. As far as picture quality goes....it is to be expected that there are better monitors out there with sharper image....but I would have had to drop an extra $100 min. each monitor. I see a lot of reviews stating that the picture quality is not that great. I've experimented with both DVI and standard VGA input and that for 1 is one of the biggest factors. DVI is far superior when it comes to image sharpness. 2.) If you are switching monitors and don't re adjust your video card for better picture, shame on you...it's not the monitor 99% of the time it's the input. These monitors are better than is to be expected for the price and a pleasant surprise at the least.
The only thing I didn't really care for is the monitors ability to be adjusted (physically) there is very little tilt (just enough I suppose) to make this user friendly for people of all heights. I've seen complaints

I picked this up as a quick replacement for an LG monitor that failed after two years. In my experience, everything LCD seems to have a short lifespan, shoddy workmanship or require repairs a lot (Samsung and HP TVs).
As a result, I don't expect much out of this monitor.
It has a great picture. The only down side is when there is no picture to be displayed or the PC goes into sleep mode, you see a lot of light coming through from the edges of the screen.
If I had more disposable income, I probably would have gotten something bigger, but this does the trick for now.

I like this monitor very much my only complaint is the volume control on the speakers. I have yet to get it to adjust quickly and easily. Maybe it is just me, but honestly should it be that hard to adjust the volume?!!

Overall, I highly recommend this product to potential purchasers. I bought this product from an Amazon competitor because I needed it quickly and it was not in stock. Of course, I paid more for both the item and shipping (about $400 total). Pros: 1) At the time of purchase (October 31, 2009), the Acer T230H is the largest multi-touch display available. 2) It brings out the multi-touch capabilities of any Windows 7 laptop/desktop. 3) It can be moved from computer to computer as needed. We have tested it on both laptops and desktops running Windows 7 and it performs flawlessly. Cons: 1) I was not able to complete the calibration routine as part of setup. I had difficulty getting the T230H to recognize the lower left calibration corners using a stylus from a Windows XP Tablet computer. I canceled calibration and used the factory settings. The T230H reads the lower left corners fine with its factory settings so this is really not an issue. 2) The unit is much more expensive than a regular

The screens are huge! They look great, and are very good value for the money. Shipping was fast. I purchased three of them in total. Used them for gaming, movies, work, web browsing, etc. Only problem is that I have a single bright/stuck pixel on one of them. Not sure how common this is, but it's always a possibility when buying LCD monitors. Hoping it will correct itself in time. Otherwise happy with the purchase, and can't beat the price.

This is a good value for a large LCD, with a fast response time, somewhat weak backlight, the typical limitations of a TN-style panel, and also some minor quirks. The backlight is notably less bright than the one in my previous Samsung SyncMaster 226BW 22-inch LCD Monitor, meaning I run the LCD closer to 100% brightness much of the time. On my old Samsung, that would have been blinding, but here it's necessary. Backlight bleed-through is visible as typical for a TN, but less than most similar LCDS: only noticeable in the very top center-third of the screen when the display is set to solid black. Color reproduction seems reasonable-- next to my more expensive PVA-type Dell 2408WFP UltraSharp 24-inch Widescreen + High Definition Flat Panel Monitor, the Samsung's colors are washed out and drab, but normal for a TN. I found I had to use the preset LCD menu options for "dynamic contrast" or "Game" mode for my preferred warm/bright colors, "text" and "internet" modes result in a drab, cool-colored

Awesome monitor especially for the price. Tough to find a monitor with a glossy screen. Excellent colors and very bright. Perfect for working, gaming, or browsing. Just wish I would have bought two!!!

I'm giving this monitor 4 stars ONLY because "I'm" not qualified to give it 5. I'm not very tech savvy, but I purchased this monitor to replace the HP vs17e that came with my desk top. I needed something wider to give me more working room in Adobe Lightroom 2...and boy does it help out! Colors are great, vivid blacks, fine type is clear, and easy to read. I did tweak the standard settings to get the contrast and brightness to please me. I didn't even hook up the audio as I use a Logitech 5 speaker system. I highly recommend it for the money!

Love these monitors from Amazon ... the Hanns-G 28 inch is great, have 6 of these now, two rotated 90 degrees for emails and chat windows, and the rest normal. I run 4 monitor set ups in 1920x1200 with 2 rotated for emails and chats. Do not have to wear my glasses surrounded with these, created horseshoe configuration and nothing further than 18 inches from face. color is as good or better than all others and so far "NO" failures, also run 30 inch dell, which I do not like as well as these. Definitely pick these over any others and do not bother with 24inch when you can have these ... I take off my glasses at the computer and easy on the eyes ...

It was fine when it worked. A little over a year after purchase, it started flickering at start up. After about 20 minutes of flickering it would finally pop on. I exchanged it with another monitor on another computer in my house to make sure it wasn't a video card issue. It wasn't; the problem followed the monitor and the other computer's monitor worked fine on both computers. After two or three weeks of this, it finally just quit altogether. As I type this, it's sitting in a trash dumpster, having been replaced with a new Dell. After this experience, I don't think I'll be buying anymore Samsung monitors. I give it two stars only because it gave me one year of good service before it gave up. It's not a very expensive monitor, so I guess you get what you pay for. I bet most of the good reviews here just haven't had the monitor long enough for it to fail yet. But I definitely expect more than a year out of a monitor. Is that asking too much?

This monitor is very clear and very bright, I use it primarily for gaming purposes, I use my Xbox 360 with it, and it is just incredible, the color is bright, but not exaggerated, I purchased the hp 2009m recently, and thought that was just as incredible, but due to my Xbox 360 not running in it's native resolution, I traded it in for this one, I never had a 1080p monitor before, but now I don't think I will ever be able to go back...

Okay, to start off, I just have to say that this monitor was definitely worth what I paid, which was about $200. I bought this monitor to replace my old 15" CRT monitor that I had for many years. I just decided to upgrade since I had the spare cash and needed some more desktop space. This monitor is very crisp and clear. I am currently using it with the DVI connection with my fairly old Nvidia 8500 graphics card (I need to upgrade, I know). I have yet to view the monitor in HD quality since I don't own a HD enabled graphics card, even though the view in DVI seems to be just as good as HD 1080p, though I know there is likely to be a little bit of difference. The screen brightness on this thing is amazing! I use it at 0% screen brightness because 100% is very, VERY bright. I also love that this monitor is energy star qualified, which means less power consumption when compared to other monitors of similar specs. One thing to note if you are switching from CRT to this monitor is that

I'm on my second H213h. The first one's right menu "button" would not function right out of the box. Needless to say, I'm not entirely thrilled with this buttonless system, even when it's working as it should. But that aside... The monitor is very nice. Colors are very brilliant and bright. I have not found what the static contrast ratio is, but I'm guessing around 1000:1. Dynamic ratios are like digital zoom to me; a selling point to the ignorant. Other nice features are the resolution, 1920x1080. Full HD videos display perfectly on the screen without black bars or any of that nonsense. Also being it's native resolution, it looks sharper than say my LCD TV displaying 720p on it's 1440x900 LCD. VGA/DVI/HDMI inputs are all on the back, and it comes with a cable for each (yes, HDMI cable...very nice!). Now for the bad... The speakers are horrible. While I wasn't expecting too much, I suppose I'm also spoiled by the decent speakers in my Toshiba LCD TV. And while I normally
