I am overall very please with the pleased with the product and would recommend an LG TV to anyone looking for a high quality picture with a smaller price tag.

First I wanted to buy a 40 inch but i live in an apartment so i see this one at an incredible price for a sony so i bought it; first worried for the pic quality of a 720p but when opened and try it the picture was GREAT, you can watch from any angle without problem and the speakers are good if you complaint about them then get a home theater they were talking about the auto-dimming issue on the sonys well this one i dont see anything like that, the picture at the PS3 is awesome and blurays too

I LOVE this tv! picture is super sharp, ps3 games and blueray have never looked so good!
Need just a touch of bass added to the speakers but the sound clarity is excellent. It just doesnt bump, lol.

Great TV so far. Took longer to build the TV stand then it took to setup the TV. Tuned in all the HD channels on initial setup. I have not had any of the voice sync issues mentioned in other reviews. Volume is ok for casual listening. I turn on the surround system for movies.

first off, i am so surprised by this tv based off of the reviews.
there are no sound/mouth issues as stated in all the reviews prior to mine. im guessing LG fixed this issue. I have cox digital cable and no HD at this time. with this tv hooked up to regular digital cable, it still looks amazing. the 120hz really is noticeable and it looks real.
the color is deep and crisp and boy is this tv BRIGHT! not bright in a bad way, but bright as in really giving those reds blues oranges and greens and FLOURSCENT look to them.
i have a wd HD TV LIVE (which i reccomend everyone get) and i have it connected to my new LG set with a rocketfish hdmi. now, i can stream all my dvd, blu ray rips and digital downloads right from my computer.
i can even use this tv as a monitor if i choose.
what makes the samsung line better is only the higher color contrast. the 40 inch samsungs have 100000:1.
but the way i look at it, this tv is 42 inches and it has a

I'm noticing pixelation around objects sometimes during fast motion scenes. It's really starting to annoy me because I bought the TV for this reason. I'm going to play with the settings to see if it's that. Maybe firmware update? I can see through my HD Cable receiver and when watching Blu-Ray movies on my PS3. Do I need a high speed HDMI cable? I'll report again later....

We bought the LG 55LH90 as part of a reward zone special sale. I was concerned with some of the chatter regarding lip-sych issues. However the picture and sound quality are outstanding. We love the ease of installation. Everything about the TV is great. It easily connects with the LG Blue Ray Player using Simplink. We could not be happier.

I watch a fair amount of sports and I see a lot of motion blur. This is supposed to be the biggest/baddest set out there and for the money you would think it might be perfect. I had plasma before and dont think there was half the motion blur that this has. I even see it on some Blu-ray movies. Im still in the 30 day period so not sure I will keep it. I imagine they will clean up this problem and it will be their next greatest reason to buy, but in the meantime...
Other than that, for most viewing the picture is great.

Picked this beauty up yesterday, replacing my Toshiba 32' lcd, wow what a difference!! I was going to get the Sony 40" lcd, but this tv was $60 cheaper. I put it on my desk, so I am about 4ft. away when viewing, and it is like a being in a movie theatre. I use a reciever for all my audio, so I can't comment on the tv speakers, I highly recommend everyone does the same. I was worried about getting a glare on the glass screen, but there is no issue with that. My Best Buy didn't have one on display, so I had to do a blind buy, no regrets yet. This is the first plasma I have ever owned, hopefully it lasts a long time, will be picking up the 4 year protection plan later this month. Still haven't figured out how the Viera works, but only had the tv for one day.

This is an excellent TV especially when you get it and a Surround Sound system w/ an up-converting DVD for $799. (sale going on thru 11/21).
At Samsungs website and some other online retailers this TV was stated as having 1024*768 resolution however here at BB.com it says 1360*768 after hooking my PC up to it I can confrim it has a 1360*768 resolution.
Also for those who don't understand the 600hz sub-field drive feature it is referring to the refresh of the cells in the Plasma screen not the vertical refresh rate of the entire screen. In other words this feature eliminates any chance of motion blur or ghosting due to a fast moving image however it draws 60 frames per second not 120 frames like some of the 120hz LCDs do. This is not really a bad thing as No media except for some PC games runs higher then 60fps anyway. The 120hz or more TVs use a feature called frame doubling to make up for lack of frames and to me this can lead to an unusual and almost nauseating look

Jeremey and Alex from the Geek Squad did a fantastic install ,well worth the extra dollars hid all the wires very nice job! can't wait for the calibration in the next few months.

I wanted a large TV for my media room, and this was a great value. The DLP HD picture is fantastic, easily as good at any LCD I have seen out there. The price it considerably less, and it will be 3D ready when that technology is available.
I would really recommend taking a serious look at this TV if you are in the market for a large screen HD TV.

I bought my first color TV in '66 to see Notre Dame/Michigan State Football game. I wish that I'd could see that game on this Samsung. In '66 my TV weighted a ton, now you can move it around with no effort. The game ended in a 10-10 tie. This is not here. Picture is clear, color has great resolutioIn with digital picture.I know that my next TV will be in the contact lens in my eye. I love progress and Samsung is doing it.

I bought this TV on sale and i paid almost $2500 for it, but its all worth if you do lots of entertainment things with a TV. I gave it 4 stars for picture quality b'coz the Samsung 8000 series has higher picture ratio. I saw this model when i was in Korea when it fisrt came out and i was blown away, i knew right then that i shall have this TV. I love the features and its easy to navigate, the price is competitive, and the USB connection is my most favorite feature it plays almost every video formats. i have digital videos on my external hard drive and this TV connects and plays them way better than my laptop. Samsung or LG is the way to go for hidef TV. this TV is better companion than my GF, thumbs up for North Korea for inventing LED TVs

this is kind of tricky the set-up has so many variables it's amazing just because you have a picture and sound doesn't mean your settings are optimized once it is set-up correctly it truly is amazing the details in the HD picture is breath taking it is allot of money to spend for a television so if you not well versed setting it up especially if you have surround sound internet blue-ray DVD player and want everything to work together the way it should hire someone to do it for you or purchase the set-up with your purchase as far as sound goes at this level most would have a surround sound to compliment the whole package otherwise sound will be mediocre at best .

Fantastic picture and sleek look. Easily mouted to a full-motion wall mount (yup, you can do that yourself). Great value (paid about $1,250). However, yes, there is a real lip synch problem when using HDMI to comnnect to a HD cable box. Setting the cable box sound settings to HDMI and a narrow sound field helped some. I also could not find a firmware patch of any sort on the LG site. The problem is a bit annoying, but not terrible. Also, as others have noted, there is no problem with component video cables. Regardless, like nearly all HD TVs, the sound from the TV speakers is marginal anyway. As a resilt, I paired the TV with an equally sleek i-Live Sound Bar (IT209B 3.1 channel system with integrated sub woofer) from Best Buy for about $131 and could not be happier. The lip synch problems disappeared. Great picture with great sound plus an i-Pod player and AM/FM stereo. Doesn't get much better than that! Would be nice if it were Internet compatible. However, I picked up a Samsung Blu Ray

I don't know much about TVs, but I do not that we got a steal when we found this TV listed in Best Buy's ad. Picture is very clear, and of course the size is nice as well. Couldn't have asked for a better deal- thanks Best Buy!

Got an Floor Stand by Chief Model PF1UB (black color) and its perfect for the TV instead of the TV Table stand which is terrible and could easily fall off the stand because so wobbly. It was a minor issue once I got the Floor Stand.
It's a great TV - colors are beautiful; Bought the extended warranty in the store for 4 years - since online they only offer 2 years; tell the on-line representative that when you pick up the TV; you want to purchase in the store the 4 year warranty!! This warranty also included any accidentially breakage is covered!!! Love this warranty since it's for my 19 years old son and his friends - who may accidentily break it.
Didn't get the calibration done by BestBuy since I feel that they don't have the best equipment.

The TV is fine for the people talking about the screen turning black is common when you have HD service..when changing the channel the tv is formatting itself. if you turn the channel and it stays black its you cable line not producing enough signal.. I am a service tech for cable..When you hear the popping noise 90% of the time if you have a hdmi cable hooked up its your cord.I know your thinking i spent $80 on a cord it cant be that..well it is take the cord out and plug in your regular comp cords...the red, green and blue and watch what happens

Finally the 24 yrs old 31" tube TV died. Best Buy had a great deal for this Sony (and basically a free Blue ray player), timing was right. The picture is great!! Did notice it's a little slow when changing channels, but not too concerned about this. So far I'm very Happy.
