As I already stated: it's still new to us but it seems ok, there are just too many steps for certain processes like deleting calls from the call list takes three (3) different entries to delete, etc.
You're asking me if I would recommend this item to a freind which is much too soon to determine.....

If you leave the phone for 3 or 4 hours, it won't work, you have to re-charge it. To get to the list of who's recently called, you have to push 2 or 3 buttons just to get that to come up. Then to store often used numbers, you have to go thru 5 or 6 buttons. Sound quality is only ok. To erase numbers that have called you recently goes through a 4 step process. Just too complicated for what shouldn't be complicated.

I am always nervous about getting phones because I am picky about sound but these are great. They work great and sound great.
Very simple to use,
I am not happy about the phone book (saved phone numbers) but it doesn't change my rating because I don't see it as a major flaw at all. The phone system this one replaced had to have each phone number entered by hand to each handset (big pain). This one has a copy and send feature to the other handsets. Only issue is it doesn't recognize a change of a persons phone number...(I entered it wrong originally and didn't know till I tried to call them). So I changed the phone number with the handset I was holding and sent it to the other phones. However, the other phones now had 2 names/numbers for that person...(1 wrong,1correct). It assumes it as different identity doesn't see it as a "change". Easy fix just have to delete the one that is bad on each of the phones.... NOT that bad to do but after enjoying the convenience of copy

Replaced a previous Panasonic model with these. The intercom comes in handy in waking up the kids from the kitchen. Sound is good. Love blocking telemarketers! Phone fits in tight places, and since I programmed in pizza and Chinese numbers, my husband has stopped asking me for the numbers!

Panasonic portable phones have worked well for me so far. The battery life and range are excellent. I had another brand phone system and had a constant problem with batteries and clarity.
I am very satisfied.

I've tried several cordless phones with extra handsets and have always had to return them because of static on the phone when using the extra handsets. With this system, I haven't had that problem. I really like the new phones. The design is great. I appreciate being able to see the keypad in the dark. Then numbers on my last phone had worn off (that's how much I had avoided having to buy a new phone) but these phones have large numbers and are very easy to see. There are some advanced features that require using the instruction manual, but for the most part, the features on this phone are intuitive and easy to remember.

People on other end said they had an echo. We turned down the volume and it seems like it helped.(maybe feedback?) Nice easy to read display. So far seems like a pretty good product. Had it about a month now

The phones have a very modern look, but for the price, they should work much better. The feedback in the handsets AND the base is excessively loud and competes with the person speaking on the other end. I thought it was my phone line at first, but I switched phones, and there was no feedback at all. Looks good, operates otherwise good, but what's the point in having the phone if the sound quality is no good? Save your money or find another phone system.

This is a very good phone system for the price. I have not used all the functions, but the basics are fine. As stated earlier, the only fault I have found is volume (not as loud as I would like and is awkward to adjust using the handset).

I was looking for a great speaker phone, I found it. The bluetooth feature works well with your cell phone, but does not link to a bluetooth headset. I have found the range on this phone to be exceptional. The only negative that I can find is the lack of a headphone jack and the inability to check voicemail from any handset. Otherwise, it does what the manufacture intended for it to do.

The unit works fine, but in my case I was looking for something to attach a wireless headset to and the description mislead me to this device. There is no jack to connect to it.

Answering machine has no alert tone, only the "little" hard to see flashing light. So far when calling from remote station, regardless of three or four ring settings, - after - punching in my code, I get a loud screeching.... its not my fax....
Rings, phone book, etc., have to be set individually on each handset.... one doesn't do it for the group....
Basically, its user hostile.

The purpose the Base phone was purchased was mainly the speaker phone capability, however the price was better than most competitors. Regarding the optional handsets, (we have 4), the price was exceptional. One handset on my old system (a 2.4 Ghz) cost more than the 4 VTech's (6.0 Ghz) combined. Has all the bells and whistles we will ever use. The only draw back was the "unlock" feature, until we learned how to turn it off.

I purchased the AT&T Dect 6.0 and within 2 weeks the display on one of the handsets no longer worked. I called Amazon's sub- contractor Zalmar, where the operator was rude and frankly didn't care about my problem. Calling AT&T directly helped, as they said they would fix it if I would ship it to them in Texas. So I'm out another $9. And waiting to get my handset back. The phones work OK, but aren't all they're cracked up to be. Next time, its Best Buy or Radio Shack where I can return it and be treated politely.

I just received and set up my phones a week or so ago. The clairty is great, especially when compared to the old frequency phone it replaced. They were nice but always had a little to a lot of static (same brand). These are perfect because I have only a couple of phone jacks but several rooms- I now have one in each bedroom and in the living room. It has cool features- like distinctive rings- so you know who is calling before looking at the caller ID. You can program names and numbers into the phone, etc... Many common cell phone features. Which brings me to another plus, they are light weight and slender- which gives a more similar feel to using your cell. The old phones were bulky and felt heavy after using a cell all day.
I haven't fully tested the range but the lack of interference and static so far makes it good for most homes.

This is a really nice phone that's easy to setup and use, and much simpler than other phones. Just about anyone should be able to use it without worrying about too much fluff. The expandable handsets allow us to place handsets in areas where we weren't able to plug in a phone line, which was a huge benefit for us. AT&T also builds very reliable, quality phones, and it's a company I depend on for quality products. The DECT 6 technology seems to be much more compatible with my wireless equipment, eliminating interference and proving a clear sound quality which seems to work much better than the 5.8 GHZ phone I've replaced it with. The only drawback is that it uses the battery packs, which tend to cost a little more than regular rechargeable batteries, but they seem to last longer than rechargeable batteries as well. Since these are smaller and technology has advanced, I don't think they'll be much of a price difference, so I'm not worried. All in all, great phone, and we've enjoyed using

Received this phone this week and already impressed!!! The phone is solid and the sound quality is great. Even though we're only in our fifties, really appreciate it that the numbers are large and easy to see. Had problems with my last phone, not hearing the ringer. No problem with this phone - actually turned the ringer down. So far, so good!!

I bought this as a father's day present for my senior father who often has trouble hearing people on the phone. The sound quality is horrible. It usually sounds like people on other end of the phone are talking in a soda can. Of course, due to the technology there is no channel button to press in hopes of a clearer signal. I was horribly dissappointed by the sound quality and would not recommend this phone to anyone. The speaker phone function and the illuminated screen and keys are nice, but the phone menu is confusing. There are probably better phones on the market that have the same features. Do your research!
