So it's AMAZING; replaced my old amp nothing much walmart brand amp, This one kicks it straight in it's cheap teeth! Easy installation, easy to tweak, pretty blue light, powerful and no capacitor needed. Get this one with the btp just in case (it's 4 years people!) so really it's good buy it and see for yourselves.

I have the 1800w version for my 2 15" kicker comps and this amp does wat you want it do do. my amp is mounted on the back seat in my 2000 lincoln ls and it will not overheat and wont damage anything. the only thing is it can only have up to 4 guage wiring to it. i think after that it might hurt the amp. i got 4 guage in mine. also if you have voltage drops you will need to upgrade bigger wiring from alt to battery. somethin like 0 guage to that and 4guage to this amp. and a better battery like a yellowtop optima battery. LOTS OF POWER!!! and if you have a good alternator then you should be ok. any amp with viltage drops can hurt the amp. its not good for your aftermarket audio. also DO NOT GET CAPACITORS!!!! for the price of this amp you will be so impressed!

I could of had a V-8! for a few more dollars, I would have happily upgraded to a 1000 watt V series monoblock. I have two factory designed JL subwoofers in factory box. Anyone knowing when it comes to JL, enough said! You might not expect the deliverance of power from such a small amp, to deliver ample power to drive them. I listen to esoteric, and sine type music that has insane bass durations, and intensity, thus not having the amp do a thermal shutdown is excellent. I would advise against prolong execursion for lengthly periods of time while the engine is off (does not need a capicitor) as it is best to feed continous power from alternator and battery. Lights do NOT dim when hard bass notes hit! I would suggest that one consider buying the 1000 watt amp to drive two subs rated at 600 rms or better. I bought my alpine headunit, amplifier, and accessories all from best buy, and they have treated me very well with thier CRM.

Just got this Amp today wow after wire up. Big different, when I turn on the system. I had some cheap amp running my two 10" Pioneer Premiers it sound yucky all statics no bass at all. With this amp I have all the power I need to boost 500 watt each channel. . Price was worth paying, you get for what you pay. It has variables controlling the high and low filters and BAss Boost. Over All I think its a GREAT amp.

Like the other guys said - it is big, it is heavy. Big and heavy suggests big heatsink, which you want. I haven't opened it up to see how well built it is inside, but the bottom cover is made of that cheap, thin, plated steel that they make generic PC cases out of. In contrast, my 350W Rockford Fosgate sub amp is all cast aluminum and chrome-plated, thick steel. The Pioneer runs a bit hotter than the Rockford amp and the screw terminals are much cheaper than the enclosed terminals of the Rockford, but you gets what you pay for. I have this amp mounted vertically on stand-offs on the side of my trunk space, with a 120mm PC fan blowing across it. Only gets warm then, even when you start off with the trunk interior at 100°F. I'm playing a 4-year old Pioneer head unit via the RCA jacks into this amp which drives a pair of [...] 6x8 Pioneer 3-way front speakers and some [...] 6x8 Infinity 2-way speakers in the rear. Sounds nice and clear - no noticeable distortion at a fairly high volume

I got mine at bestbuy for $229 ( open box, but had every thing and it looks like its never been installed) so i got a great value. Its the best amp ive ever had as far as power and looks. I have a kenwood headunit, this amp, and 2 slimline 12" kenwood subs in my 2000 regular cab chevy and it has no problems pussing those subs great :-)

Only thing i don't like is the fact you have to take that whole stainless plate off if tpo get to the hook ups, but i guess its somewhat a good thing cause it keeps the wires from getting knocked into eachother making short circut.

There is really not a huge amount you can write about this amp besides the fact that its sound quality is excellent. I am running it at 2ohm into a 12" Alpine Type-R subwoofer which was also purchased from Best Buy and it matches this sub perfectly. I mounted the amp under a seat and it is slim enough to not give me any issues. After running it for over an hour at high volumes/gain it didnt produce much heat which is a true plus.

I used the Rockford Fosgate 4 gauge single amp wiring kit also available through best buy and it came with an under-hood 100amp fuse, perfect for this system. I ended up having one third of the wire left over so I'll end up using it to put together an underhood voltage stabilizing wiring kit.

The wiring for the amp is intelligent and Alpine has engineered it so that whomever may wire the system will have to intelligently run the wires according to industry standard. The wiring has different connections on either side of the amp so when running

I picked up this kenwood to replace an Alpine MRP-M1000, alpine died about 3 months after purchase, wasnt 1 ohm stable, I have this kenwood running a JBL GTO1204D at 2 ohms and its too much for it, the alpine ran it fine no problems, the kenwoods overpowering it, easy to hookup, clean bass, and as far as clipping......i hooked up a kinetic battery, no more clipping......anyone who knows anything about car audio knows if you have a high power amp, need high power source to feed it, to those of you that have clipping with this amp, get a 1 farad cap or a second battery, wont clip anymore. I have no complaints about this amp, i will write another review after running it on a better sub and see how it does, as for now, it works great!.

I couldn't believe the strong bass that this Alpine provided my 12" Pioneer subs. The bass was strong and clean. It really made them move. I have two 12 inch Pioneer Comp series subs hooked up to the Alpine M1000. It really pounds. Great amp!

well i just had bought this amp about a week ago to go along with my pioneer ub-5100 head unit,6x9 infinity references 3 way speakers, 6 1/2 infinity references. i had also bought the class d mono alpine amp that was 500 watt rms. i'm running a 10" alpine type R off the mono block. i was running a pioneer four channel amp before this one and i have to say even tho the pioneer had more wattage the alpine beats it in clarity and powerfulness. even when you turn it loud you still hear the real fine sounds you wouldn't out of the pioneer. as far as connecting it i believe a person that's doing it for the first time will have no problem. the system i have i will recommend to anybody that's looking for good clarity with good bass also.

I installed the Alpine 500W Class D Mono MOSFET Amplifier with Adjustable Crossover as my fourth component. It replaces my Sony Xplod 600W (max) amplifier as the watt supplier for my Alpine SWR 1242D subwoofer. The Sony was sounding pretty good, but it got way too hot with the 2-ohm impedance wired to it.

Installation was not quite a cinch, since I decided I would use the speaker-level inputs to connect it to my factory head unit. The alternative was to use my existing low-level line converter, but I had never used speaker-level inputs, so I thought it best to spend the time getting to know the connection.

After soldering peel-off leads from my rear deck-mounted Alpine SPS-600 Type S 2-way speakers, I plugged in the speaker-level connector. The rest of the connections; power, ground, and speaker out, are just like any other amp. No surprises, there.

There is one design characteristic I dislike, very much, on this amp, which inspires me to write a bunch of extra

this amp cannot be ran parallel only series. which means this amp can not handle a 1 ohm load which is a downfall. i have 2 solobaric L5 15's and it will make your ears bleed untill it shuts off. this amp would be good for a single subwoofer kit. make sure you know what ohm your subs will be ran before you purchase this item.

Kicker 08ZX750.1 750W x 1 Car Amplifier

This amp can put out the juice. I've got it pumping 375watts to two 12 inch Kenwood Typhoons. I love how Kicker tests all of it's products prior to shipping them. This was tested to max out at 960watts. I haven't taken the time to fiddle with the adjustments, but with the included sub control dial on 17 feet of telephone wire i've been able to adjust on the fly to avoid knocking my head against the dash/front headrest/steering wheel. Previous to this I had only had two 10s powered at 200watts and this is one incredible upgrade.

My old amp was giving me problems, so I went to Best Buy to get some advice on which amp to get for a pair of 10' Kicker comps. This is the amp the rep recomended and now my whole car shakes when the bass hits :)
It provides the perfect amount of power for my subs and I haven't had any issues yet. Easy to set up and the controls are simple to adjust, plus the amp is small so it is easy to conseal if you want a clean look to your setup.

I just bought this amp with infinity 4x6 and kenwood 6x9 5way speakers for my 04' grand am gt. Also runing 2 alpine 12'' type E's with sony xplod 800. unbelivible sound quality first didnt buy the amp and then decided to buy the amp as well. Made a huge difference from my factory amp. It is too loud cant run it at full power, when I do my ears hurt. I've let geek squad to install it for me they did an awesome and clean job. Million times better then audio express(got my alpine's from them with installation and regret it.) Will recommend to any one that loves sound quality to buy this amp. Will also recommend geek squad installation for perfect tune setup.

Kicker does it again with the 08ZX series of amplifiers. I have both the zx3502 & zx3504. I'm running the zx3502 on a kicker 12in solo classic sub. This combo has my passenger & my trunk begging for mercy! The zx3504 is pushing my mids and tweeters (Polk Audio) and they're crystal clear. Kicker just makes awesome amps.

This amp is awful for 3 reasons

1) 700 bucks for 500 watts rms
2) not 1 ohm stable
3) Nowhere near enough power to push a real sub, not even enough for my single 12"

DONT DO IT, EVER
