@ Mountaindew: I'm trying to stay as WinterBoard prone as possible. so once i find a way to edit names without the .string/UI way i will xD
@ Hawkee: Too right! I have full faith that you could master the codes and stuff within a few weeks or less! i'm not sure how .plist and those kind of mac files work.
@ Vas: The icons are a sorta "my" thing. i made a collection of my favourite ones. i like to have more color there and a plainer bg if you see what i mean ^
The dudes at iLounge have scored schematics laying out the dimensions of the new iPod touch and iPod nano widely expected to debut on Sept. 9. While the nano's tall, skinny and curvy silhouette ain't a secret, according to these measurements, it's a smidge taller and about 0.4mm thinner than the second-gen nano (making it the most anorexic one yet). The iPod touch will bloat a bit, growing 1mm taller while adding 0.4 mm of flab that'll be disguised by borrowing iPhone 3G's tapered design, officially making tapering the new white. And hey, does that look like external volume controls? Check it out below.
I'm more interested in the new functionality rather than the way its going to look. I wonder if they'll come out with a faster processor or more memory.
The new iPod touch is out. It has a new design: chrome rim, with a tapered back similar to the iPhone, but thinner. It now includes external volume controls as well. It also has Nike+ integrated, with no transmitter needed, as well as on-the-fly genius playlist creation, all included in the new iPhone 2.1 software. It also comes with new prices, available today: $229 for the 8GB, $299 for the 16GB, and $399 for the 32GB. That's $100 cheaper than before. Here are all the features: ...
Speaker and external volume controls, awesome, but I don't see why it's still more expensive than the iPhone. You can see all the features in the Guided Tour.
I liked the new nano, I can't believe it got even thinner. And yea, it's great that you get double the size (16GB) for the same price as the 1st gen ($299.99) for the Touch.
verzion uses CDMA, at&t uses GSM. two completely different technologies. maybe if this were ten years ago when at&t used TDMA but..then there would be no iPhone :P
@jonesy44: your iTunes icon looks alot like the limewire icon lol
you can't 'connect' the two technologies. although, there are phones that are compatible with both technologies.
all carriers can SMS (text message etc. ) one another...
good thing about cell phones is: all rate plans throughout most bigger name carriers ( at&t, verizon, sprint ) are exactly the same with minor tweaks ( rollover, voice data plans etc. )
