Yes, the site really needs a more modern look. I'm also removing a lot of clutter.

@Aha2Y The most convenient following link will be over to the right below the profile info.

Nice design on the layout @Hawkee Excellent job on updating the site as usual. I can't wait til the updated design goes live :D

@GrimReaper Yes, I'm looking forward to putting it out. The major change for existing users is that the homepage no longer has recent comments and focuses more on profile information. Also, logged out users will see an intro page rather than the default activity feed.

Nice. I'm always logged into Hawkee.com but will have to logout just to see it. :) Keep up the awesome work Scott :)

Sexy, would be nice to have the search option/bar on the top menu bar, kinda like twitter's

Hawkee  -  Apr 23, 2012
@FelicianoX I like having the search fill the larger header area. It gives it a stronger emphasis.

How would that kind of interface deal with there being multiple sections of the site that can be searched upon (i.e. "Code Snippets" and "apps"). Or would it be a site-wide search?
Hawkee  -  May 02, 2012
@Firstmate I've been considering a site-wide search for some time, but I'm still not too sure how to implement it. One thought is to search the activities and allow for further filtering, but not everything that's searchable is tied to an activity. So for now we're just going to have a dropdown.

@FelicianoX Looks like you got your wish. I decided the previous search took up too much space. Now it's much more condensed like Twitter.

@Hawkee Looks better now :D
