I happen to like CAPTCHA. It does draw spam and bot away from their automation.

I find captcha useless as googles allows for 2 errors, and most are easy to beat. tho it may cut down on the newb spambots, it has served no help to cut down spammers as a whole, but to annoy the every day user. Just my thoughts tho.
