Bladerunner commented on a Page, Youtube url detector for mIRC  -  Dec 07, 2012

Hi, as of today YouTube launched a new design, and the script is no longer working. Is this a simple fix?

My final question will be in regards to the garbled display of an incorrect location using the !time command - is there a way I can have it notice an error to the user instead?

All this because other people started adding ! commands I was already using and you'd get multiple bots replying. Hehe. Thanks again.

eqrunner - sorry I didn't get back earlier. The machine I was running my bot from had crashed so it was put on the back burner for a while, but now all is up and running again.

Originally I was trying to replace individual !'s in the command prep area. I just tried what you most recently posted and it worked perfectly. Thanks for clearing that up. :)

Hi, I'm not sure if I'm dumb or there's something more to it, but I tried following above advice to change the trigger to no avail. I want to change every command to respond to an @ trigger instead of !... Because there are multiple bots in my channel, I have no choice and am currently changing all its triggers....

By the way, the bot abuse script is great.

I'm also wondering if the Upload Date went out of wack since the other one did. Haven't gotten a chance to test it out yet as my bot won't be online 'til tomorrow.

Hi again, I had to stop running my bot via mIRC because my connection was too unstable, so I'll be switching to eggdrop via shell. I saw it as unfortunate that I could no longer use the mIRC script but was delighted to find you had a TCL version... Just reminding you on the youtu.be links as the script was updated in July.

I couldn't either so I had removed that (it's not really a big deal anyway), but it seems that since FordLawnmower's youtu.be update it's working perfectly for me now.

Hi, this is a great script and works wounderfully

How would I go about getting rid of/disabling the !w and !weather functions and renaming !current to respond to !w and !weather?

The reason being, at least for my use, is the !weather command is very, brief, and what my users will most likely be looking for is the information provided by !current. It would just be easier for them (and myself) if I could change this. I'm sure it's simple, I just can't figure it out.

Regards,
Blade

It's just a short form of a Youtube link, it's now the default option when you click Share... it's becoming more and more common in channels.

Thanks

So, how can I get it to detect youtu.be links as well? I loaded it again under another .ini and tried messing with the script to get it to detect them, to no avail. Help appreciated.
