Russel, I've disabled the part about the massive alteration so you can change it all you'd like now.

People have mentioned that they have had several problems with this code, so I tried to replace it with the original code. However, the software on this forum wouldn't allow me to make that large an alteration and forced a new post. Hawkee has been made aware of this situation and has said that he will look into it. If you have trouble with this code, the original can be found at http://www.hawkee.com/snippet/4697/

@water_dragon If you honestly believe that this is ripped, please be kind enough to provide some sort of evidence to support your belief. As you noted, this script did disappear from Hawkee, but that was due to my attempt to improve it (which was not entirely successful).

@Joshuaxiong1: Using address type 2, as you suggested, implements a wildcard into the address that is stored, and I did experiment with the various options while writing this, and found that the current usage of $address seemed to give the best flexibility for a match, and still was precise enough that there were very few incorrect matches. I don't recall now what the exact ratio was, but I believe it was something like 0.01%

This is the original Alias Tracker (AKA) script that I wrote. I had updated it in the other posting to include things that were asked for, but due to a lack of thorough testing, problems have come up with that code. I tried to edit that code in order to replace it with this one, but the forum software said that there were too many changes to allow the edit, and forced this additional post. These facts have been made known to Hawkee, along with a request to delete the other Alias Tracker (AKA) that is posted with my name.

I hope that this comment will clarify the extraneous information that is in the Introduction section of this snippet.

Nice script. A feature for password protected channels would be nice. If the channel is password protected you still need to join the channel manualy after the invitation.

No offense, but I don't exactly see the point in a whois dialog when you can just whois them normally and get the info you need.

Please forgive me for being a n00b but I can't get this to work.
It doesn't seem to be kicking and when I try to add an exempt nick, I get the message:
* Invalid format: $addtok

Do I need to go through and edit something?
