I like it, it's just like the old one only the screen doesn't flash like crazy and it's not as sensitive.

Dude you're not gonna believe how easy this actually is to do!
In WinterBoard, there's a thing called "Transparent Icon Labels", so if you go to /Library/Themes/TransparentIconLabels/, you just edit the info.plist from:
to:
And then just check it off in WinterBoard :)
Btw, you can use different colors too, like red green etc.

Make sure there's no English_lproj folder? =\
There is, but I changed the uirolesdisplay.strings file.
I've only tried it in Photos so far, maybe it works in the others.
Edit: ugh, to make it even better, the .plist converter site won't work >_<

I'll check that game out :)
I used Morphey's WinPwn to JB 2.1 and I followed this guide.
It's different now, you have to upgrade to 2.1 in iTunes and then pwn your iPod, and you don't have to restore with a custom firmware, I guess it does it for you.
But in that guide, the DiskAid part, you can just you WinSCP.
And it's not like I don't know how to erase the labels, it worked in 2.0, but it just doesn't let me using the same method. I'll try to play around with it a little more.

:) I successfully jailbroke 2.1 and the cracked apps work and everything, but the only down side is that I can't seem to change the dock labels to "blank" on this firmware.

Right now I'm gonna update to iTunes 8 and 2.1 firmware. Hopefully everything goes alright...
Can't wait to try out that Genius feature in iTunes. And hopefully my cracked apps will still work on 2.1
Edit: ugh...it's giving an error when I try to JB it with morphey's quickpwn.
Edit: nvm, I had to restart after installing iTunes, so it did end up jailbreaking. But quickpwn is so stupid, it doesn't let you use custom boot logos, just there "pineapple" one.

Yo man, I just downloaded the 2.0 firmware for my iPod :)
It's awesome, like you turn the calculator sideways and it turns scientific. And there's the app store, you can legally have AIM and a bunch of games and stuff, pretty cool. iTunes crashed today (2.0 was supposed to be released for $10) so I was sick of waiting and didn't really wanna pay for it, so I just downloaded it from ipodtouchfans and it seems to work great lol. Hopefully ppl start making their apps work for 2.0 soon, I guess people have already jailbroken into it.
Edit: Dude, I just found out that if you hold the home button and tap the power button, it takes a screen!

lol yeah kinda like a VB file.. TCL is normally run via console(command prompt) files are generally saved as *.tcl but its not 100% needed if the file is written properly it can be run from nearly any file format(given that your on a *nix system) in windows its best to just use a .tcl file lol and execute this file via command prompt and the command 'tclsh C:\\dir\\to\\tcl\\file\\file.tcl'
