I know mSL (mIRC Code), and PHP, JS, CSS, HTML, related stuff, blah blah, along with a tiny bit of Java (made a dodgy android game). What's next?

Garlic.js allows you to automatically persist your forms' text field values locally, until the form is submitted. This way, your users don't lose any precious data if they accidentally close their tab or browser, http://garlicjs.org

It's been too long ago that I have been here. I am developing a game for those who are interested and wish for something that's a little more than the recent snippets posted here lately.

Haven't been on here in a while, loving the new code snippet view!

Alright, I made larger icons and removed the descriptions.

I'd like to make the banner javascript, but I'm having issues getting Processing to export working code.

I'm thinking about hiding the applets on the pages, and instead showing the gallery first (with maybe an expandable box containing the applet?)

More ideas/feedback/critiques appreciated.

Working on a mobile friendly version of the site. We'll be able to support any screen size using a responsive design.

Hmm, I was just browsing and I just now noticed that you can re-size the text box to a size of your desire and I was wondering something @Hawkee - could you make the text box overlap the right panels? As it stands it displays under it and you can't see that portion of the text box. :P I'm assuming it's intended to overlap them all, possibly something you missed, perhaps?

Screenshot: http://puu.sh/1nXpX

Edit: It overlaps the right panels further on down the page, just not the profile panel or the Facebook plug.. Screen: http://puu.sh/1nXsT

Edit #2: Further inspection, it seems to just be the initial "Status Update" text box that's doing it. Screen: http://puu.sh/1nXxJ

Edit #3: It's the same with the Image Upload and Post Snippet. xD

I just added the number of pageviews to the snippet pages with a link to graphs indicating how popular the snippet has been over the past month/year.

Played around with Windows 8 for a few minutes. It's basically Windows 7 with a new Start menu. Props.. Microsoft..?

I adjusted the Explore page by removing updates from yourself and those you're following. That way its only fresh content you don't already have on your homepage.

Very handy infographic about responsive web design, http://bit.ly/Uk2KYz - Something I'll need to reference soon in adapting this site for mobile.

Bonsai.js, a JavaScript graphics library, http://bonsaijs.org/ - Seems like they've done a nice job presenting this. It has an online editor and comprehensive documentation.

Hawkee, your notices are a bit funky now.

"Hawkee responded to a Status Update, Hawkee"

Clicking either the first or second Hawkee will bring me to your profile page (the second just having me scrolled down arbitrarily). I end up having to find the comment thread manually.

I was wondering, What Syntax highlight system does Hawkee use? :o
SunnyD commented on Status: SunnyD  -  Nov 06, 2012
Happens fairly frequently, in that the menu will stay expanded when not hovered over, as shown. It also will flash and flicker when in this state making most of the menu items unclickable at times.

I made some changes to the homepage. You'll now see likes, comments and follows show up along with snippets and status updates. The comments are also now being displayed in full on the homepage and profile pages.

Hawkee, there seems to be an issue with the code tags resulting

to be shown every line proceeding the code at the forum. Could you fix it?

I'm considering flipping the snippet comments so the newest comments appear on top rather than the bottom. What do you think?
Hawkee commented on Status: Hawkee  -  Nov 04, 2012
I decided to remove the max-height attribute from the code snippets. They'll now show the entire code snippet without any right-hand scrollbars.

I was thinking of buying a computer for myself. I thought about second hand computers mainly for testing things (and running Debian as OS instead of VM). Is a Dell Poweredge 1850 good for this? I can get one pretty cheap and it seems to meet all my specifications for what I need. 2GB ram, dual intel Xeon processor at 2.8gHz. 2 HDD's with 73GB storage each, not like I'll use it as a NAS server :P. Or does anyone have a suggestion what I should instead of the PE1850?

I was thinking about redoing the images section to look more like a grid of images with no sidebar. This is one section that really needs an overhaul. I'm going to focus on snippets first though.
Hawkee commented on Status: Hawkee  -  Nov 02, 2012
Now that the redesign and server migration are complete I'd like to start redoing the snippet editor. The new editor will allow for multiple, syntax highlighted blocks of code. So you'll no longer be limited to a single code box and bbcode tags. I'm also considering allowing for private snippets so we can save commands and bits of code that we use personally.
Hawkee commented on Status: Hawkee  -  Nov 02, 2012
We've just migrated to a new server, so if the site is really slow flush your DNS cache. The old server is using the new server's database, so that's creating latency. Once you get the new IP everything should faster than normal.

Remind me to finish my mSL script for Omegle connections.
Hawkee commented on Status: Hawkee  -  Nov 01, 2012
The redesign is complete. We changed the font to Open Sans and increased it to 14px. Also, the snippet pages are now full screen to make the code more readable. Let me know if you find any issues and let me know what you think.
