you could always do txt files or variables i haven't really gone into it myself for my bot it uses ini i just don't add anyone that use the retarded characters in their nicknames. it was just a forewarning in case you ran into the problem

i haven't changed it yet haha thats the one that i had i plan to change it eventually. haven't done any actual scripting for like 2-3 months now

this "code" if it can even be called code is utterly pathetic. first off trolling is a waste of everyones time and completely stupid. second off even if trolling was cool the on load event is useless which makes this script useless seeing how most people copy and paste directly into their scripts editor and not paste into a txt file save it then load the script. winner why don't you sit down and think about your next code you want to release and put out something thats useful? even if its been done before who cares do it your way no need to post every single little thing you make. you might find this code fun but the majority of hawkee is either A. not gonna even read it from the name or B. make fun of it/you. oh and prosec and sunnyd boys knock it off.:) prosec sunny was just trying to give you tips/pointers thats all he didnt mean to insult you with what he said sunnyd knows how to code he's helped me a couple times this place is a place of sharing and learning lets leave the bickering to the skiddies

ok slight edit of your coding did some grouping and changed your menu * <<<< using menu * can interfere with other scripts and therefore is not suggested. also i didnt remove it but your on load event is pretty much useless because people are going to be just copying and pasting right into mirc scripts editor therefore it will not be activated they would have to put it in a txt file then load it manually which would take them longer so i don't see people doing it that way. another thing to keep in mind is that ini's are not the best thing to use for nicks because of the fact that an ini doesnt read certain characters properly like []'s it will turn those into `'s and so on and so forth

well if there are no asterisks then it won't grab it anywhere in the sentence only if its said as the first word in the sentence. where a nickcaller is supposed to grab it no matter where its said

well then try the dl with firefox also a decent downloader you can try is jdownloader idk if it'll work for mediafire links never tried it but its really nice allows you to pause/stop downloads then restart them where you left off

why use opera then? ie 8 works fine

i just downloaded it from the link and ran it on a computer thats never had mirc on it just redid the os soo the link works idk why your having problems with it

im using windows 8 and regular zip/unzip that comes with win xp

well that would basically make it not work as is intended. using regex is good for a nick caller script

isn't really good to be used since it will pick up if enough of your nick is in a word like say if your nick is ryan and someone says bryan.

well first off you could combine all 3 text events together. second for writing nicks to an ini ini files will not read certain characters properly such as [ ] << it will automatically turn those characters into something else. so if your running off of nick ini may not be the best.

also i would add an on text event for the bots owner so if they wish to edit the list of people who can end the signups phase prematurely and end the game. they can easily use the command to do so. just a thought:)

i concurr with that jethro jaytea has many years of msl under his belt he is a very smart guy and its definately a good idea to listen to what he has to say

you shouldn't use the * in your menu area it can interfere with other coding

i know a computer that this snippet wouldn't freeze. although it would freeze the hell outa mine haha. my friend bught a 15000 dollar alienware. it never freezes

problem i see with using this one is on some of the bigger websites that have 2000+ channels it could freeze someones laptop everytime it /lists.
