The creator of this app spoke at Stanford about it, it's a pretty interesting video: Tweetie Video

Well the block[ i ].y refers to that block's y position (the .y comes from the brick class).

Code

And I don't think it matters how you draw the bricks, as long as they're there and you can find out the x and y, you should be good.

But for all those if's for the colors, I would just use a switch statement, that's what they're meant for:

I also use Verbatims, but DVD-R (supposedly the safest to use for wii games).

There has to be some challenge to it :)

* Added a little title screen; will go to that when you lose
* Increased the speed a little
* Added a score based on how many returns you hit
mountaindew commented on Java Snippet: Pong Applet  -  Apr 10, 2009
Forgot about that, updated. Tomorrow I think I'm gonna try to figure out the varied speed and make the computer "vulnerable", so there can be a score and stuff.

I used JCreator.

I'm not really sure if there's an advantage between a do while loop and just a do loop, I don't think there would be a difference in this case. That's just how I learned to do loops in VB so I just did it here as well.

With the GUI, it's called Swing. I added the objects and stuff by hand, but you can use the NetBeans IDE to create a layout.

I downloaded a torrent for Java all-in-one Desk Reference for Dummies, and it was really useful.

This is a great app for sports scores, I decided to use this instead of SportsTap now. You can also view the March Madness bracket on it. But the thing that sucks is whenever I go in the fantasy tab, it always crashes. And it also sucks that you have to login every time you go to the fantasy tab.

I just got Tiki Towers and yea it's like World of Goo except you build the whole thing first and then transport the monkeys. And gravity doesn't take effect until you're done building.

Just ordered myself one of these. Can't wait to get it and start building some iPhone apps.

Nice, you have any ideas for apps yet?

I just found this on Gizmodo and thought it was interesting: The Life of an iPhone App: Nasty, Brutish and Short

Nah I wouldn't say xplane is worth 10 bucks. Fastlane is the best racing game I've come across in the app store, but I'm not sure how to compare it to the demo because I haven't tried it.
