I've been considering changing the icon for our "like" system. The thumbs up is very much a staple on sites like Facebook, but we are a different breed of site. I was considering maybe a heart like they use on Dribbble or maybe a pyramid upvote like StackOverflow. I had considered a star like GitHub, but stars are a bit too broadly used. Any suggestions?
Yes just add their username to the search and limit the results to posts. You can also add the programming language to your search to further limit the results.
We just made the leap to icon fonts. Now the icons should be a bit more crisp and universal across the site. It should also help with page load speed. Our library of choice is IcoMoon, http://bit.ly/UKYJti
@jrharper I'm sorry, but I'm just not very clear about what you are doing. Are you using the code provided on this page or are you building something entirely different? If you need some general programming questions answered you might want to try searching StackOverflow. It's a very good Q&A development resources.
Looks like GitHub added a new Contributions display as the default profile screen. I like the contribution activity. It helps encourage you to help out with other repos rather than focus on making your own. What do you think? https://github.com/Hawkers
