Overall I really like it. I went from the Black Edition 8120 eight core to the 8320 black edition eight core, along with a swapped motherboard. I think part of the power boost came from the board, since the other one was trash, but the new AMD and board can overclock to ~4 GHz somewhat effortlessly, unlike the previous combo which threw a BSOD at ~3.8-3.9 GHz.
I would hope it wouldn't be used as such. Tables, for the most part, are stored differently for each program. Really, the only way to use them is to either take a large chunk of time, and build around them, or use them as a tool in the dev environment.
Sorry, I had misunderstood your comment this morning.
I thought this was a good read. If I had known the CEO's attitude at the time I may never have bought an AMD chip. He was far too proud and I think that's what killed the company.
I'm now taking on any mIRC script project.
If you'd like a script/snippet/bot in mIRC, please message me with details.
I know dialogs, RAW events and sockets as well as basic mSL script.
Only exception is I don't add/edit other scripts that were already made, I only make scripts from scratch.
I don't charge, and you can edit/distribute at will.
Most popular request is the mIRC equivalent of the UKChatterbox's GateWay, made with sockets to connect to the server's Services port.
nice idea and thanks for sharing , might want to remove line 20 from the code listed about and this will work perfectly, otherwise it will try and double msg the decoded url to the channel, just a heads up. =)
I was considering offering more points for likes on snippets or projects. This would work similarly to Stackoverflow. I think certain things deserve bigger rewards.
Perhaps less so now than back when you could only "like" snippets, and projects. Likes on projects, sure; I receive them as positive feedback that I've done a good job on something, or that it's particularly useful to someone. The only aspect I can think of, that would perhaps serve a good purpose, would be tutorials. However, the new snippet submission design very well takes care of that.
awesome script and it worked great for awhile, just a heads up it errors out now ...when I get a chance to go over the code I will attempt to fix it and report my results back here. Screen: http://i.imgur.com/oJNl3ZJ.png
So I just hit 800 likes. I'm curious, do you feel motivated to earn likes on Hawkee? What would make them more appealing and how can we make the site more interesting to use?
That's just it. They are more concerned with it getting done, and not how it's done. The problem is the fact that people try to sell how to do it instead of selling the solution itself.
Very handy advice. Sometimes you need to question your client to get to the root of their intentions. A lot of the time they might not know what they're doing.
