Math Tables Karaoke is an educational application transforms learning the multiplication table into a fun and interactive game. With 3 different "Modes" of learning, students are able to see and hear math tables, recite, record and play back what they have learned, and reinforce the knowledge with a short quiz. This 3 tiered approach to learning has proven effective for early education.
In "Learn" mode, the multiplication table from 1-10 are displayed one line at a time while a friendly, clear audio voice recites the tables. The user is free to read along; or they can even recite the equations right along with the app if they like. Students can replay the table as many times as they need, to build the confidence to move ahead.
"Karaoke" mode allows the student to reinforce what they've just learned by reciting, recording and playing back the same multiplication tables from Learn mode. This is an important step, because studies have shown that when people state things out loud, they're far more likely to remember them when it's time for the information to be recalled.
"Quiz" mode is the final step. This is a timed, multiple choice quiz that helps the user to see what they've learned. The student is shown an equation, and must tap the correct answer. If they choose the wrong one, the correct one is shown before moving on. At the end of the quiz, the user is taken to the scoreboard where they can see their score and test time.
